Fuel efficiency? However the 3.5 V6 wasnt really a guzzler; 6-7km/L+ in city driving then highway could hit around 14km/l.

There have been cases in which the batteries have gone bad nearing the 100k mark. It cost $4,000 U.S. to replace the battery pack. My Tito was fortunate to be still covered by warranty, but had to pay around $2,000.

Exactly. Folks who can afford the 3.5Q aren't too particular about fuel consumption. Bragging rights is more like it. The 2.4V sold better coz it had the 3.5Q's features with the smaller 2.4L engine and lower price range.
