2007 Toyota Yaris [Merged Threads]

I think it is also known as the Vitz and Echo in other countries. Perhaps TMPI decided to sell it here as the Yaris since the Echo was not successful here.

Actually thats not the reason.
Echo and Yaris were both export market names for the JDM Vitz, Toyota just decided to simplify it and call all export market models Yaris.

The ASEAN "Yaris" sedan is expected to be called Vios (2007/08 Vios thread)...

I believe the problem why it is not introduce here in Philippines is because of the market share that it may compete with it own model Vios

There was a rumor/insider report that TMPI had to sort things out with Toyota Thailand(the source for CBU units), this caused the delay... I'm not really sure of the reason, but it should have been launched last year with the New Camry and Avanza.

Anybody have the estimated price of the Yaris 1.5?

I wonder how much is the price range of this car, hopefully about similar ang price range like VIOS or Honda Jazz.

according to the rumour mills it's around 740K+ for the A/T and 710K+ for the M/T

Hope this doesn't go the way of the Echo (sad how one day you see them on the streets and another they're all parked in some used car lot)

it seems like jazz price is higher than Yaris ( i wonder why) but looks goes to the latter (imo). i wonder if Yaris will have a standard 1.5 engine under its hood same as jazz, if yes, then there's a serious competition for honda here

I am new here mga sir. Bought my very first car na masasabi ko na pera ko kaya I'm proud of it. Kasama ko ang wife ko when we visited toyota sa manila bay.

Talagang torn ako sa bibilhin ko dahil hindi natuloy ang isa kong transaksyon. But I have to settle for an everyday car na gagamitin ko so I looked at the sub-compacts category. Binasa ko lahat ng theads dito pertaining to jazz, city, vios, picanto, and getz. Then of course, I asked my wife kung ano preference niya.

Nung pumunta kami sa dealer naku tuwang tuwa ang asawa ko sinakyan namin lahat Di namin kasi mabibili yung prado e. Tapos we took a ride sa vios 1.5 top of the line but it's expensive than the yaris kasi walang 50k discount. Tapos sinakyan namin ang yaris gustong gusto talaga ng asawa ko kasi dahil daw sa curves. Nung nasa backseat siya hindi pa rin makapaniwala na bumibili ako ng kotse.

So ayun nag bayad ako the very same day and I will be having my unit this wednesday or before wednesday. Plano ko rin lagyan ng visual mods pero sa susunod ko na lang na transaksyon.

Nice to meet you all. Di ako gaanong motor head. Naglalaro lang ako ng NFS (all released versions). Will gladly learn from all of you.

Sana makapag share kayo ng yaris experience ninyo.
