Eh, look at the Optra. Too many sales for a poor vehicle... IMO.

And as for the Focus numbers, it would be nice if those sales were broken down into categories... I'm betting the Focus would top the 1.8 market with those sales.

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Marvin, how does Peugeot doing here in RP? Any figures?

Nissan will be launching new models soon and I hope they will catch up.

I also heard that Fiat and Renault will be back to our shores. Renault will be building a plant in Malaysia and will export cars to its ASEAN neighbors (I assume with the help of Nissan). If its true that Fiat will be coming back, baka China assembled Fiats ang dadalhin dito (eg Palio, Sienna).

Some interesting developments:
1. The Mazda 6's sales are pitifully low, but there was an 850% jump in sales in September, when the facelifted 6 was released (17 units against 2 in August). For October 2005, 13 units were sold, nosing past the Nissan Cefiro's sales for that month.

2. The Ford Focus is selling fairly well, with 136 units sold in October against 297 units for the market leader, the Altis, in the same month.

3. The updated City is selling quite well. For October, the City surpassed the Vios in sales, 536 against 439.

4. Toyota is delivering more and more Fortuners each month, 742 units in October compared to 279 in May and 258 in June.

5. The Innova's sales are blowing through the roof.

6. The current Civic is still selling reasonably well even though an all-new model will be bowing very soon.

7. Sales of the Kia Sorento SUV are steadily climbing every month.

8. Sales of the Suzuki APV are declining.
im so happy by Hyundai Getz edging the Jazz in sales...its also in the top three in the class.
the Picanto isn't selling the way it should because of its dealer's greediness. too bad, it seems nice pa naman.

Kudos to Mazda3's snatching second in the compact class...behind the all time leader Corolla it only squeak passed a Sentra by just 1 unit...it's still a notable feat. considering that it only has 1.6L & 2.0L variants. no 1.3L like the Sentra and Manual transmissions.
btw, what is the Zafira doing in there? they still sell that car? i thought its phased out already.

Good sales for the Camry... but it seems im seeing more Accords on the road though. im looking forward for a better stats for the Mazda's 6 next year. hopefully.

also with Starex's reign in the market, im surprised though that the Sedona's sales were the poorest...it seems alot of it are roaming are streets naman.

Sales of the APV is overwhelming but not flattering...

Fortuner rocks...im surprised though that the Everest still can keep up, though its not close to the Fortuner's...it creamed all of the other's sales, combined.

Ford is lucky that the Fortuner was launched only May 2005. Had it been January 2005, the gap between units sold would be much bigger. The Fortuner is leading by over 500 units, despite the fact that the Everest had a 5 month headstart.

Chevrolet Lumina - 33 units sold!

Time to throw a BIG party, CHEVROLET DEALERS (btw only those who managed to contribute to this figure, of course)!

I agree, its quite baffling. I wonder what kind of people or organizations who purchase it, use this very obsolete vehicle for, especially when there are far better choices in the market.

a lot of people engaged in the rent-a-van business love this van. they claim it is very reliable, very easy to maintain, can be repaired by any mechanic, and parts are available everywhere.

mataas din benta ng sentra ah... must be their pricing promos. mazda3 2.0R daw ang biggest-selling 2.0L car ngayon. kinda figures.. wala na silang competition! (the midsize cars are all 2.4L and up)

i think mabenta sa sentra eh yung 1.3 GX variant nila. Yung 180GT na phased out na.

yep, i think 1.3GX sales account for most of the Sentras figure.

medyo misleading yung everest figure. kasi merong everest variant na mas malapit sa innova than to the fortuner... at malamang yun yung volume seller ng everest

these are sales figures for the whole phil, baka yung ibang bumili galaing sa ibang region ng pinas. you may not see some of the cars in the figures because maybe its sales are concentrated in the provincial areas.
