    Nakow!

As a rule of thumb, never buy a brand new vehicle na walang warranty .

Tama si Drey but also broaden your choices especially malapit na mag 2008.

You can tell where the Hi-Lux, by popping open the hood and look at the your right (driver side) of the hood. There is a metal plate tag there that would have all the information you need.

RE: warranty. It is not the dealer handing them out. But rather it is the main office, Toyota Philippines, through the dealers that will honor the warranty for three years. Warranty claims can be made from any dealer in the country and does not have to be from the dealer where you got the vehicle from .

    sir nis,

casa ba un nagbebenta or hindi,if casa syempre dpat me warranty,if not of korz wlang warranty pero pwede mo ipasok sa casa if my problems pero yuo have to pay for the labor and materials, mgandang presyo yan ..compared to casa,un nga lang alang warranty,as for my info..un bagong hilux n fort ngyon came from thailand and un hilux na bibenta sayo galing din thailand..the reason wlang warranty yan is it came from the back door..kya mas mura..try mo tawaran ng 1.2 cash..bigay nila yan sayo hehehe....infact dami nyan d2 sa davao..no probs sa warranty, useless din pag ipasok mo sa casa, medyo d pa gaanong marunong yun mga tao dyan sa loob lalo na d2 sa atin mindanao..mas ok pa pa service mo sa magagaling na service shop mas marunong pa un mekaniko nla k sa tga casa..hehehehe

Huh?! Isnt the CASA suppose to be the first to know how the D4D works? Bakit mo ipapatalyer or sa ibang shops?

May nahirapan nga na tsikoteer dito (Manila) sa Innova nila. Then they traded with a Crosswind. Ano pa kaya sa mga talyer ng Davao.

Ang problema rin kasi sa Mindanao, magrerelease na ng kotse sa talyer na diretso paayos. No idea about voiding the warranty (if meron man). I don't blame them for their habit though, ang layo kasi ng dealership. You have to drive for 3 hours pa if you are in Central Mindanao.

e2 kasi situation, im from cotabato and ang lau ng toyota casa davao
Im planning to buy dis coming December, Hope God will grant me...
then a dealer from casa told me that, me available na hilux but it also came from thailand
then yung 1.3m hilux is backdoored from thailand
all they can offer is free lto registration, matting, bedliner nothing more nothing less, so kung pareho lang silang thailand made, dun na lang ako sa 1.3 and im also going to finance it and i think titingnan din naman ng bank kung bnew ang car, ryt?

2nd, i do have casa problems, minsan or tanga talaga mga mekaniko from casa, i have a nissan pick-up serviced at nissan davao, change lang ng door lock, ayun nadale ang tint ko, and u know what they told me, "Sorry sir, OJT lang ako d2", WTF... u care so much for ur car tapos ojt lang ang pinapaayos ng car mo.

I do have my own mechanic, mga talyer sa amin mga bobo, simple brake probs di nila maayos, anyway. We're not into insurance coz waste of time and were not into casa warranty, provided na matibay naman ang hilux, time and availability naman ang probs namin kung pupunta pa ng davao.

Well i guess ok naman siguro ang toyota hilux from thailand rite? additional info pls. cant decide tlaga, im still interested in buying from casa.. tnx

I think I understand na your situation.

Although it is true that even casa's have their own share of shortcomings, for me, it is still not a good enough reason to forget about the warranty. Dealer shortcomings are also as common as problematic brand new cars since neither are perfect. Honda has leaking roof and paint problems on the All New Civic, Ford has some complaints on their interior noise due to loose panels, plastics and even creaking suspensions on some of their Expedition variants.

Toyota has a multitude of Choking, hardstarting, etc problems on the D4D engine. To say that a Hilux is matibay is fine but remember even a multi-million buck Ferrari goes up in flames.

To the issue naman if the unit is from Thailand or not, I wouldn't care so as long as Toyota gives me the warranty worthy of the price I paid for. In this case, letting go of P1.3M is no joke and if God forbid something mechanical or electrical problem happens within just a year of your purchase, your initial "savings" might just be surpassed by the cost of repairs to be done therefore defeating the purpose of this purchase altogether.

I hope that when you do decide, remember that this can't be just a coin toss. Malayo pa naman ang December so think long and hard.

    sir nismo ,
pgdating sa engine problems dpat sa casa kc mas nakaka alam sila sa mga d4d problems, pero pg under chasis, electricals or khit mga add on sa accessories,sa labas mo na paggawa, khit change oil pwede mo pggwa sa mekaniko mo,as long as original toyota oil filters gmitin mo,for pms sa labas ko na pina pgwa sa kin,kc kailangan mo pang pumila sa casa tpos kailangan un oil dun mo talaga bilhin sa kanila,no problems sa bagong model na lumabas ngyon, khit back door yan, toyota hilux poa rin yan and same din yan sa mgha nka display sa toyota, brand new...kya mas mura kc d na dumaan sa dealer,un servicing nyan since alang warranty ng casa, pwede mo pa rin paggawa sa kanila, bayad ka nga lang,.kina ganda lang dyan is mura talaga compared to financing..tawaran mo nga lng ng 1.2M CASH...hehehe

It's your money. If you think you can service it on your own, there's no problem if you want to get a Hilux. The service vehicle I use is also D4d but Japan CBU. The warranty is voided already because the vehicle is maintained in-house. If there's a problem, it's my boss that'll foot the bill already.

But with fellow Tsikoteer's current headaches with his late model Quezon-based Hilux, I wouldn't get a Hilux. Period. But that's just me.

hilux na gawa sa thailand ang mga naunang inilabas nila (2 years back)...hindi kaya NEW old stock yung ino-offer sa iyo na hilux? these "older" models din ang alam kong problem-infested ones.

since you are paying at nearly the same amount as the regular brandnew one i highly recommend that you get their latest production instead. just my 2 cents.

Porma? Strada of course... Pero gwapo rin ang Hilux. Mukhang mud fish lang in some angles.
