    Need your inputs.

Choosing between the currently used 17" Rota Style 6 on 225/50R17 and the prospective 18" Toms on either 225/45R18 or 245/40R18.

Btw, the tires on the Toms 18s in pix are 235/50R18, so the tires I'm looking to get will have a shorter sidewall.

    Thanks.

I would vote for 18's...having compared 18's on a similar car to my car (which is on 17's) I have to say that the difference in ride is not that much. However, it is true that you run an increased risk of damage on bad roads.

However, IMHO those Tom's rims are really ugly. Ibang 18's na lang, if you want my opinion...

Thanks! Yeah, I know the sad part though, which is why I don't intend to go the lowering route.

Yeah, they're for sale at Freddie's in Evangelista. They're brand new, we just put some rubber on them to see how they look. P46K bro.

Thanks. Compared with the stock 15s, my current setup had about the same ride quality. Not much harshness was added by the upgrade.

Yeah, true. Considering there's a little less rubber than a 195/55R15 tire, but more than a 195/50R15 tire.

opinion ko lang , kung ano ang pinaka malaking kasya sa kotse ko ay yun ang ilalagay ko ngunit sa 17's ok na yun . i'd still go for the 18's kung sa Camry ko ilalagay and yung 45 series ang gulong .

    yup pre, this is kaizen.

    musta na??

mura na pala gulong ng 18's ano, pero ala parin ako pera!!! badtrip yung bukol.

what do you think should i get? LM702 o yung formula 901?

lam mo ba magkano yung 901?

ok na ba 702? d ba siya madaling mabukol?

Updated pix at http://www.pbase.com/imm29/choosing_mags. Need your feedback. Thanks.

    Conrad,
Thought it wuz you. Yus pa. Sold my 626 na. Eto namang Camry ang pinagtitripan.

What tire size are you asking about? FM901 isn't available for some sizes.

IMO, for comfort riding yung LM702 vs. the performance, and perhaps a bit harsher riding FM901. My upgrade from 205/65R15 to 225/50R17 did not result in ride harshness, perhaps due in part to the tire, and the car's suspension.

ok na ba 702? d ba siya madaling mabukol?
Supposedly improved na ang quality ng LM series. Haven't gotten a bubble on mine yet, thankfully, so hopefully they've improved.

    mbt,
sup? camry na bro. mas pambata ng konti yung itsura compared to the cefiro. tsaka parang mas mababa yung rear headroom ng cefiro. 2.0G. not as powerful as the Cefiro or 2.4V, pero ok na rin.

    IMm29,

nice... you may have the best of both worlds yet... ultra-luxurious avant-garde interior combined with potentially-sporty-when-set-up-right styling

imo, try to change the grill to a mesh one (like on the US Camry SE), black out the headlights (like on the US Camry SE), swap out that hideous stock HU, and slap on some snazzier-than-stock wheels and tires... ayuuuuuuz! 8) just please don't rice it out with an obnoxiously loud exhaust and a wing please

btw, saw your pbase... the 6-spoke 17's look waaaaaay better than the 4-spoke 18's imo... parang di talaga bagay yung 18's na yun sa camry

    Thanks mbt!

Don't worry, not going the exhaust and wing route! If ever, a nice stainless steel tip should do, but perhaps not the exhaust anymore.

Looks like i'm stuck with the 17s. Haven't found the right 18" tire size to give me the look that the 225/50R17s on Style 6s give me. Plus the height of the 17s' sidewall is just right, IMO.

Sounds muna siguro susunod. Will look at the mesh grille and the black out headlights some other time. Thanks.
