TI has a 28-year history in the Philippines, and the Baguio site is one of the best sites we have in TI. The quality of the people there, the quality of the operation gave us high confidence we would be able to set up a new site (in Clark),” he said.

I'm glad they chose the philippines over china. I wonder what kind of package GMA gave TI? Most companies here have concerns on expensive resources such as water and electricity bills not to mention the constant increase and clamor for salary increases. In china, aside from the large billion people uber cheap labor they give away free land... atleast after 70 years or so before the gov't takes over. The company I work expanded operations in china rather than what we already have here because of the same concerns.
