Start of building of Pedestrian Overpass in Bicutan Interchange

Kudos to MMDA (well, it's their fence) for initiating the project of building the pedestrian overpass in the Bicutan interchange! This would mean less road accidents, safer crossings for the pedestrians, and less traffic for motorists who can't go through all the number of pedestrians crossing the major lanes of the interchange! Kulang na lang turuan na lang nilang gumamit ng radyo ung mga nagta-traffic at smooth-flowing na siguro traffic finally dun!

From the way the traffic enforcers ENFORCE the use of the pedestrian overpass at the overpass located nearly in front of skyway entrance in Bicutan, I doubt if they wouldn't.

Sucat already has one overpass built. Kelangan na lang ilink to the other side of the interchange.

aba good news nga yan, malapit lang ako sa area na yan... favorite tambayan ko pa ang SMB (SM bicutan) kaya lang imbes na 5 minutes lang andun na ako, minsan inaabot pa ng 30 minutes or more sa sobrang traffic minsan.

Sana lang po hindi rin umakyat ang mga vendors mula sa riles at tambayan ng mga masasamang elemento pag gabi.

No problems with the infrastructure, its the color scheme lang ang problema, almost being an eyesore. But still appreciated. Hope the Sucat interchange will follow soon para wala nang patintero pag tawid sa magkabilang side ng SLEX for the pedestrians.

The overpass does make it safer when passing the bicutan interchange, I would have preferred it to have a more neutral color scheme though, its a bit of an eyesore. Sana may guards rin sa overpass to deter crime.

Same holds true with all MMDA infra projects.

On the other hand, the pedestrian walkway did lessen the daily traffic snarls in the interchange.

Ang laki ng improvement ng traffic dito sa Bicutan interchange dahil sa pedestrian overpass network. I don't have to wait 10-20 minutes to cross the interchange going to SLEX northbound any more

Medyo nakakabulaga nga lang yung Bicutan SLEX southbound entry kasi yung isang pillar ng overpass nasa gitna ng kalsada.

panalo nga yung pedestrian over pass sa bicutan... wala na yung hassel na a massive amount of people will cross tapos kala mo tapos na... biglang may hahabol na isa or dalawang tumatakbo habang paandar na oto mo.

Didnt know that there is a good number of tsikot members near Bicutan area. I know batangraon is and Radical. I find it very useful and still get annoyed when the enforcers play "patintero"with would be offenders. I dont like the color either but functions tops.

Yep ito nga yun bro. You climb onto the overpass using long ramps with a gentle incline that jackknife on themselves to reduce space. One of these is on the corner of SM Bicutan building A.

Ginagamit naman bro. May concrete barrier na yung dating pedestrian lane sa kalye.
