I think it is already implemented, but only for 1/2 of the tax year. The company I work for has already started using the new scheme for our tax deductions (and the forthcoming annualization)....

Our Finance and HR people attended some seminars some weeks ago and according to their Managers, there were already implementing guidelines that were provided to them...
There were some issues with what forms to use, but I guess they were able to sort them out....
Anyway, I am sure that come annualization time, you'll have some additional dough because of this new tax scheme for the second half of this tax year....

November 4th, 2008 09:22 AM #66sa amin rin nagstart na manghingi ang HR ng details ng dependents. whether implement na agad or tax rebate sa end of the year e ok na rin. as long as makadagdag sa budget. sana lang e kapansin pansin ang dagdag sa sweldo (or bawas sa tax).

November 6th, 2008 09:52 PM #68Kakaimplement lang sa amin yung transitory tax table starting Oct. 15 payout. And guess what, doon ko lang napansin tumaas pa tuloy ang witholding ko. ibig sabihin lumiit pa natanggap ko na sahod. Malaking kalokohan ito... Nasa ME1/HF1 kasi ako nabelong na category pero sa ME2,ME3 at ME4 mas bumaba witholding nila...

November 7th, 2008 09:18 AM #69sa issue na to very disappointed ako kela sen roxas and sen escudero.. part sila ng bicam na nagpasa ng batas na to.. they should've monitored BIR during the creation of the IRR... di mo masisi ang BIR.. with their targets na hirap ma achieve.. but these 2 senators should've applied pressure on the BIR and DOF Sec Teves... in public! that's the least they should do.. kapag politics issue (Lozada story, impeachment, etc) panay ang pa interview at press release... pero itong issue na directly may impact sa mga mamamayan tatahimik lang at kuntento na sa iilang press release na iniakyat na nila sa Supreme Court ang usapin...
in Sen Roxas' case, signatory din ang ilang labor unions... why didn't they seek a TRO? even if its a losing case... mas gusto niya sure win? it will also pressure the Supreme Court na pag hindi ini issue ang TRO eh.. may konting policital consequence din yun on the Supreme Court..
in Sen Escudero's case.. chair ata sya ng oversight committee for BIR and DOF... i would think they would have the leverage to pressure the Finance Dept to toe their line.. sila ang gumawa ng batas....
sa inaction nila... now they have to bring it up to the Supreme Court.. and guess what.. November na now.. it doesn't instill confidence that the Supreme Court will rule on this within this month.. even if it does... the BIR can still go for a motion for recondsideration.. in which case.. the case may be ruled on with finality by 1st quarter of next year (if we are lucky)... kung matalo BIR... pano na ? mag refund ba ang BIR? ha?

If that's the case, then hindi rin pala lahat ng nakaka-afford sa kanila ay hindi frugal mag-isip...
