Bo-105s similar to the one in front of Navy HQ were locally assembled. An indigenous design based on it was being developed but copyright infringement laws were brought to bear and everything was scrapped. We don't have the materials. We don't have the wind tunnels and R&D needed. Even if we did would we sell enough to recoup the huge initial investment? Makes more economic sense to buy existing designs.

Easier said than done ang pagcopy ng isang aircraft. To start with, the country has no capacity to manufacture, let alone clone one. At ma blacklist tayo ng EU for copyright infringement.

we do not have the metallurgy and we do not have even the basic science for the composites. the koreans and chinese can do those things because they had invested billion$$$ in science and technology.

our science research, sadly until now, is limited to finding more efficient ways of burning carabao feces for fuel.

our so called "inventors" on the other hand are more concerned with getting the money in your pockets into their pockets. scam after scam, they have lost all credibility so nobody will ever invest with them even if they come up with something true and useful.
