    Hello everyone!

I am looking to take driving lessons. Do you know what are the best driving schools here in Manila?

    Thanks!

I think A1 is the most prominent driving school here.

Socialites is cheaper than A1. It's good. Day 1 pa lang drive ka na agad.

I think those 2 are ok. But you really need to have practice time after the lessons.

if they provide theory classes first before the actual driving lessons, yun
ang medyo ok na driving school.

pag yung student eh pinahawak agad at habang nagdadrive saka tinuturuan
about traffic rules eh malamang sablay na driver yan pag nagtagal.

sobrang safe naman kahit first day drive agad, dahil may sariling preno ang instructor mo

Thanks bros. I think I would prefer if they can provide lecture before the actual driving para may idea ako sa gagawin. I found a good website (Driving School Locations Philippines | DrivingSchoolPhilippines.com |) that emphasizes the importance of proper driving education and may information din about different driving schools. I will check out your suggestions na A1, Red 1, or Socialites.

    Thanks again!!

SMART driving school, my wife just finished 6 hrs driving lesson (VIOS M/T) for P2800, free 2hr post driving classroom tips, after the actual 6 hours driving lesson another free 4hrs classroom tips on simple car maintenance and defensive driving, and lastly free LTO assistance converting student to non-pro.

    http://www.smartdrivingph.com/

Tip: 1. Enroll on M/T course, if you learned M/T for sure you can drive an A/T, but If you enroll on A/T, for sure you can't drive an M/T.
    2. M/T course is cheaper by about 40%, mahal ang bayad sa A/T course kasi mahal ang cost ng car-hours nila pag A/T.

You may also consider Honda Safety Driving Center located at East Service Rd., SSH in Paranaque. It offers Basic, Intermediate and Certification courses for those who want to learn or enhance their four-wheel and two-wheel driving skills. If you don't have any driving knowledge, the Basic Course is for you. This is a 20-hour program that involves Theory Lessons and Practical Driving along the driving course inside the facility. At later stages, for car, you will drive on the outside roads and even at SLEX to apply what you have learned to the actual driving environment. An automobile driving or motorcycle riding handbook comes with the course.

You may find the tuition fee higher than the other driving schools. But the driving knowledge and skills you will acquire will help in making the driver a responsible road user. Like some of us, i just learned the driving basics from an experienced driver who was also taught to drive by his father. Because i know that it is difficult to transfer the knowledge to my wife using the same method, i decided to enroll her in the said school. Now that my wife is a driver, i observed that she has a good driving foundation as compared when i started.

MASTERAL COURSE (30 HOURS OF DRIVING BEHIND THE WHEEL)
This course is designed to teach advanced driving skills and expertise.

Excerpt rom the above smartdriving link. Ano kaya tinuturo sa masteral course na 'advance' driving skills? parking in a tight space, drifting?

Hey guys! Up ko lang yung thread
    Good day!

Konting background about me: Fresh HS Grad.

I think this April na ako magenroll (Manual course 20 hours).

    Few questions:
Kamusta naman sa A1? Nagbabasa ako ng reviews online kaso karamihan ng nakikita ko eh medyo matagal na yung post so baka nagbago yung A1 or something. Pero so far, mukhang okay naman yung reviews and wala masyado bad experience.

Drive ba agad or seminar muna? kung drive agad, paano yan wala pa ako SP.

Sana may makasagot :D Thank you in advance!

Seek their advice if you need first to secure STUDENT PERMIT.

About Driving Lessons in Driving School, mas ok if they will teach you first the basics of traffic signs and traffic rules and how to understand and apply them in your daily driving. Defensive driving, Road Courteousness and Road Worthiness is a lesson must be taught and learn.

In actual driving, once you have familiarize with the controls of your vechicle. Careful driving operation is first bear in mind once you are on the road, driving. Think safety first, always consider others, that you are not the only one using the road. Always watch your back, aside from both side. Take time to develop your skills in driving, don't rush it.

You may already drive a vehicle if you only got a Student Permit as long you are accompanied by someone who have a Professional License, and
    Driving Instructor's do have.

Thanks! I guess ask ko na lang sila next time na pumunta ako. I see, no problem naman learning traffic rules, etc. for me since important naman ito na pagaralan. And yup, I'm not rushing it naman since matagal yung summer break namin (August pa yung pasukan).

I'm going to drive for my parents naman so I guess no problem about dun sa kailangan may kasama ako. How long yung duration ng Student Permit?

    Thanks you sa replies ma'am/sirs!
