I saw this sa Manila Standard.

Good investment ba considering our neighhoring countries (Malaysia, China and Japan) are already hosting F1 races? I think Singapore is already preparing to host F1.

Actually, Singapore will INDEED host the F1 race next year on Sept 28, 2008.

The track will be built along its streets.

Check out this schedule from F1 Calendar.

I'd say it would be good for the country, because of the international exposure and the tourists (internation race fans) it will attract... Sana matuloy... Yes!
