Does anyone know where to get the card from yet?
If this pushes through, what will happen to the existing epass? I just bought a new epass a couple of months ago to replace my old one that died. Sayang din yung 1700+
I hope this is more reliable than the epass. My new epass sometimes wont register with the sensors.

News on automation is always welcome to me. I hope they push thru with this plan and execute properly. When the E-pass was introduced to SLEx many years back, I suggested to the operators to just 'give away' transponders to motorists who regularly ply the SLEx. I was told by the people from E-pass, that they were planning to give the units away for free initially, and recoup costs of the units in time, but they were afraid that it will cause bottlenecks in E-pass lanes due to those motorists who fail to load up their E-passes. Maybe if they do push thru with the tap cards they already have a solution to this potential problem.
yun po sir gamit for public transpo - ezlink tawag dun. yung gamit nila para sa
express way toll fees (ERP tawag nila sa Singapore) ay in-vehicle units with
preloaded cards.
yun yung device na nasa dashboard ng mga sasakyan na ini-scan lang sa
mga ERP gantries/parking gates - wala nang swipe or tap na kailangan.
On the Move: For Drivers
yan sana implement nila sa pinas.
^ yep octopus card very efficient, from bus to mtr to 711 to mcdonalds pwde gamitin![]()
Just bought an e-pass, 100 yung card lang mismo then 100 minimum load up to kahit magkano gusto mo lagay
Hongkong's octopus card is more efficient. Lagi namang nasa hk ang mga govt officials natin pero di nila mai-propose yun? Or vip packages ang trip nila so no need to ride mtr or taxi or buses? Or wala silang kikitain?
IMO, the best way to go about this is to make the card multi-purpose, and not only usable to one company or transaction.
As mentioned, this system has been in use in Singapore, HK and Japan.
Make a an intelligent card that can be used in tollways, LRT, MRT, convenient stores etc.
Later on, it can be used in buses, maybe a bus rapid transit system.
