I saw one adds at ******* he/she selling a 2013 suzuki kizashi for only 600k plus..walang bank balance, bakit kaya ganon?? sa quality? or sa brand name na SUZUKI it self kase SUZUKI is for motorcycle? etc etc..

resale value yan bro..... its because of the local market's mindset.
imho, only toyota and honda have good resale values here.

ika nga consumer perception plays a big part. If consumers don’t believe that a Kia or Suzuki is as good as a Honda or Toyota–whether that perception is justified or not–there will be a dampening effect on value. Shaking off bad brand perceptions isn’t easy. Consumer perception doesn’t change rapidly. It's the same thing that happened to Nissans, which are good cars, imho.

Low demand due to poor customer service at the dealers and hard to find parts outside of dealers... And the Kizashi specifically is a market flop so that makes it even harder to get parts for it outside the dealerships...

suwerte ng bibili ng preowned car...pero sa mga bumili na brand new..bumili ka para gamitin hindi para ibenta hehe....pero sa tingin ko ang mindset kasi ng bumibili ng 2nd hand is may sira or problem na yung sasakyan kaya binebenta..now ano ngayon kung may sira yung sasakyan kung maipapaayos ko naman at may mga parts...ngayon with suzuki known sya to have little part available outside of dealership...kaya yun baba ng resale....toyota kahit napakaliit na repair shop may parts hehehe...so it all boils down to parts availability....suzuki can change that now that he got swift and ertiga...two model with basicaly same parts...hope spare parts and accesories overflow now hehe...or china guys come on piratahin nyo na mga parts para magkaroon compitisyon hihihi...

Large Suzuki cars, like the Kizashi, the old Suzuki Esteem... yes. Terrible resale. But, because people don't like to buy gas guzzlers secondhand, even the Camry has terrible resale value.

Small Suzuki cars, like the Celerio and Alto... they're about average, actually.

Suzuki trucks? Uhh... the Jimny still sells for more secondhand than a Jazz... which sells for more secondhand than anything else in the same price bracket as those two... so I don't know where this idea of "Basta Suzuki, mababa resale" comes from.

It really depends on the owner of the car. How was the car maintained and handled? Kung na-maintain ba ng ayos and on time, palit agad pyesa pag may sira, and maayos magdrive yung previous owner, may karapatan yung owner na ibenta ng mahal yung kotse lalo na kung mababa pa tinakbo. I think naiisip kasi ng iba, lalo na sa Suzuki, is spare part scarcity. I owned an Altis before, I admit, parts can be purchased anywhere (replacement), pero di rin naman tumatagal. I sold my Altis and bought a Suzuki Ertiga, I didn't consider parts scarcity kasi mao-order naman yan sa Casa. I wonder kung mataas kaya ang resale value nito? Mas maganda review compared to other MPV eh.

Thats actually above average resale value. Normally 50% for 3 yr old cars.

All cars are valued at insurance graded assessment. An average of 10% depreciation is the current valuation for each year of aging. What makes a certain car brand or model retain its nearest original value or double in time is it's record of reliability, exotic features and cult following. You'd be surprised how some SUV's like the LAND ROVER are regarded as ordinary workhorses in some parts of the globe while here in the Philippines they are often regarded as "royal carriages". Suzuki cars and SUV are no different from their contemporaries. With a large car manufacturing market especially that the Koreans and the Chinese have started to churn their own, made the market prices of vehicles more affordable and our choices more varied. Thus, prices of vehicles in general are now low and affordable plus the vehicle features are improved to stay solid in the market. You don't buy a brand new car for its resale value, you buy it because it is a necessity or sometimes a reward to yourself. The after market value is a blessing or an unfortunate assessment in the future whether you are buying or selling. That's the reality of owning a car.
