well ayun lang ang sabi - 1.6L similar sa APV (pero this one's DOHC), non-turbo, and in a-t. i think you're looking for the sx4-sport which is the sedan. afaik sedans are fitted with the turbo variant and in FWD only, while the SX4 hatch is in AWD.

not sure yet which will be present in the philippines - the hatch or the sedan.

I saw an SX4 early this year, probably a road test.

I think this would be a good replacement for the Jimny. (In terms of Target
    Market)

But A/T only? I thought we are running out of fossil fuel?

I notice suzuki keeps pushing a/t in our country.
I mean, I always thought that suzuki are fun cars.
Wheres the the Fun in a/t i ask you?

This would be another car that would compete in the sub-compact segment. Although it would be in the large side (dimension wise) parang Nissan's Tiida.

Hope both the sedan and hatch ang dalhin nila dito.
Been seeing Suzuki Aerio sa Suzuki plant in Pasig before akala ko it would make it on our showroom

thought it was having some breaking in muna bago ibenta but it never did see our local showrooms.

Sana the grapevine is more reliable this time.

    the sedan looks cool too.

I hope the hatch will be the one that will be brought in. I don't really like the look of the sedan. Buti pa sa China available ang M/T and A/T variants ng SX4 and both the hatch and the sedan were introduced last year pa.

    Took this photo last year:

please naman suzuki. Your cars are great , probably even better than toyota but if you keep making girly-granny transmissions such as A/T then sayang naman! Anyway I'd still go for the lancer :D

The hatch does looks better. It has a character into it.
While the sedan looks plain, dull, average, regular, standard, common car.

China is such a big booming market kaya siguro they always get all the choices. Compared to us where majority of the market only thinks that big cars are always better.

I vote for the hatch because it is a family oriented vehicle which most buyer are.

may is almost over, no new updates yet?on whether they will release the hatch M/T 2.0 version?is it also true that there is a 1.6 and 1.9 turbodiesel variant?(i've seen it on wiki).i know you may call me a cheapskate because i ask about diesels.hehe.but my purpose is because of rising fuel prices a diesel could give other options for others who want to economy on fuel and not particular on performance.

i hope suzuki phils. will change their minds if they want to reach their targets this is a great crossover vehicle.i like honda's but for a change i want to have a suzuki sx4 naman.feeling WRC driver ako dito.hehehe

i agree. but now with the onset of RISING gas prices on the market i doubt if stubborn car owners of the 2 brands would turn their heads to a kei car manufacturer that gets more KM's per liter! hoping for the sx4 crossover suv (hatch) to be sold here...

In my experience, mas ok pa humatak ang SX4 sa office namin kesa sa Mazda 3 ko. Probably because the SX4 has slightly more power, and is a bit lighter. Highway driving from Pampanga to Pasig nasa 17km/L inabot according to the onboard computer.

In my experience, marami-rami na ako nakikitang units ng SX4. Sa office namin 2 ang naka SX4, isang orange and isang black, tapos may service vehicle kaming SX4 na orange din. 2 weeks ago yung drive ko from Pasig-Pampanga-Pasig, swabe naman takbo and matipid sa gas. Although ang reference ko kasi is my personal car which is a Mazda 3, na known talaga na malakas sa konsumo.

I am trying to haggle my SA for a discount using the car's unpopularity as a leverage. Unfortunately 30k lang ang binibigay nya discount plus free LTO, matts, seat cover and tint... So that brings the price to 869k... Oks na kaya to? I was hoping for a 50k+ discount.

When I was hunting for my first car I was given a 60k discount for a Mazda3, nagbackout lang ako dahil sa poor gas consumption according to feedbacks. Honda, not known for giving discounts gave 20k discount sa Honda Civic FD. Mukhang matigas itong nakuha ko SA dito sa Suzuki. Hehehe. Any recommendation sa SA and dealership here in Manila?
