yes peeps... its comes 3 for 100

BUT....this is usually offered only by the direct importers....i'll try to see if I could get to talk to the friend of my boss in Cebu and see if they still offer the deal.

These are usually 60-70k (yung higher range ang 4x4 series) na in Cebu - running condition pa lang.

Kung painted and maporma-look-na add at least 20k (actual trading range is 90-115k depending on the set-up)....these 90-115k (or more) is usually the price outside Cebu (naipatong na ang freight charges).

As for the parts, it is very available down south BUT not as very available dito sa manila....we can always get from Cebu anyway.

Rumors has it that these mini 4x2 and 4x4 trucks (not just suzuki produce this, pati daihatsu and mitsubishi) are actually the production test of new equipments of vechicles (particularly trucks).....matipid daw kasi ang mga hapon so they do a down scale of the new equipment which they want and put it in this for actual use...pag ok na at nacorrect na ang dapat gawin they'll apply all they learned and make the bigger models for their trucks, pick-up etc. So all of these features are really very great stuff except that they are small versions.

Opinion ko on the weight distribution problem (rear tire spins and stuff like that kasi magaang).... if I have one, I'll put in it a new body (like a mini AMC Hammer --- Jappy pag ready na ko papagawa ako sa inyo ha?!)....so mapapalipat ngayon ang puwesto ng mga pasengers sa tamang lugar so makokorek ang problem. Tapos okay pa ang porma.....Mini Hammer

    my 2 cents.

    Question mga ppl...

Is the place in cebu where this baby can be bought is somewhat like the one at caloocan for motorcycles, or like that of banawa for cars? kase if this is like that, then people can immediately make a window shopping for the parts. and can you also dictate which part to install to the newly bought vehicle? kase im planning a to buy a basic vehicle then pa modify na agad yung mga parts for better performance. How long will the installation and yung papintura might take?

Hope someone from cebu could answer my question? I need this information so i can plan, how much money to have and how much days to stay there.

    Thanx po

dati ganun...parang banawe....(note that that post was 2003)...after some ruling on importation...naging matumal na ang ganyan (suzuki carry)...so ang price went up na to about P90-130...semi-bare and finished. wala na halos barebone na pede mong i-upgrade or something like that.

I have two of these suzuki's (pick up type) a 4x2 and a 4x4. ginagamit ko sa softdrink business ko.both are 550cc 6 valvers. Parts can be pretty expensive compared to japanese sedans. yung 4x4 ko naka 13 inch with mud tires. I had a suspension lift mga 2 inches para lang hindi sumayad sa chassis yung tire.sa fronts longer shocks and longer hangers for the rear. Kahit fully loaded with bottled softdrinks and beer walang angal ang makina.Yun nga lang medyo manipis ang pang ilalim i dont know kung tatagal siya.I have a third multicab pa nga kaso its not running anymore and i practically gave up on repairs (in fairness naman very old model na ito, wala pa nga siyang front doors hehehe)

Safe naman sya because Japan has been using these type of vehicle since the 1960's. It is a "KEI" class or "Light" vehicle in Japan and almost all car manufacturer in Japan make this cute little vans/trucks with a government mandate 3 cyclinder, 660 cc displacement for fuel effieciency. Some have turbo and EFI. They also have an F6 double overhead cam with turbo that has 64 horse power.

Today, it's second hand vans/trucks are imported by Canada and Australia. It's really an ideal vehicle for city driving specially on narrow roads and if one of your requirements is a bigger cargo space. You can put 9 balikbayan box's or a small scooter and a honda wave at the same time.

It is not meant to be driven like a car so you have to adjust your driving style. Widen the tires to make it stand on cross winds and when trucks and buses pass at you.

I have couple of friends that owns a truck or van and we have EB's so we can exchange information or just check the modication we did with our ride.

    Hope this helps.

    otep and guys,

if you visit cebu.. pwede ko kayo samahan mamili..... yun lang talaga ang maitutulong ko kasi hindi ako familiar sa mga terms and parts(blah blah blah) kaya samahan ko na lang kayo..

    UPDATE:

The suzuki carry pick-up comes in 2 engine models: 550 and 660.
    The also connotates the displacement.
    The 550 is 6valve (3 cylinders both) and the 660 is 12valve.
Typical mileage: 550 na 4x2 is about 10km/L and 660 is about 7-8km/L kung heavy foot ka as low as 6km/L lang.

Both have 4x2 and 4x4 types.
Both have 4 speed manual and 5 speed manual.
Both have LSD and Rear diff lock versions (pneumatic switch engage)
Both have auto hub lock and manual hub lock.
Maximum suggested tire 13 inch rim lang. Beyond that major modification is needed na to adapt the wheels plus possible na magkaproblem sa turning ang bigger wheels (14" and up). Unknown din if the differential can take the load of a bigger wheels. (They are originally on 10" rim wheels in Japan.)
It is converted RHD and no power steering.

Opinion ng importer the 4x4 would be better off with 4-speed kasi meron 4Lo gearing. Mas okay din daw ang 550 when it comes to parts availability and cost cheaper (ex. spark plugs are the same as toyota 3K or 4K engines, hard to find an plugs ng 660). Get the manual hub lock and rear diff lock na pneumatic (LSD are hard to find din)

Cost ng 4x2 is about P75K (bare and running condition) ex-cebu. P5K and shipping cost pier-to-pier. Reconditioned (painted well and running condition) add P10K. Cost ng 4x4 add another P10K

Unfortunately, the cab is a monocoque design kaya hindi pede alisin ang cab (ng hindi major ang modifications) ng basta basta.
