I know it's not a real hybrid, but if Suzuki is able to thread the needle and successfully lobby for green plates for this baby then expect sales to be really really good.

They managed to get that "green plate" for the Ertiga, and I heard/seen news that they're pushing really hard for the Dzire and the XL7 to get it too.

Who knows, Geely's Okavango finally made it to DOE's list... only time will tell.

    i wonder,
what is the basis for initially excluding mild hybrids from the green list?
if the mild hybrid can do similar km/li figures as a so-called regular hybrid...
    why not?

sa akin, ang question ko is why some mild hybrids (e.g. Ertiga) made it to the list, while others were not included (e.g. XL7)

then later, they approved adding the Okavango.

parang ang fishy tuloy nung list.

i would expect something like this, if the authorizing authority did not have a clear idea of their own specific criteria, i.e., "criteria in evolution".

LTO docs suggest the Suzuki Fronx will not receive green plates | TopGear PH
    https://www.topgear.com.ph/news/car-...a6888-20250730

The homologation papers did not include any battery details, but the electrified Eritga and the XL7 both pack 0.12kWh batteries. And because papers also did not classify the Fronx as a hybrid vehicle, it probably will not be qualified for those coveted green plates.

That is one tiny battery. For reference a Macbook Pro would have a 0.10kwh battery.

First impressions: The Suzuki Fronx Hybrid has something for everyone | TopGear PH

Whereas the Vitara may go up against the likes of the non-hybrid Toyota Yaris Cross, the Fronx stacks up against the Raize and other smaller crossovers. The folks in our inbox may be getting the Fronx confused with the new e-Vitara, but that is a completely different vehicle without a definite Philippine release.
