Suzuki Ertiga - 7 seater MPV

Suzuki is big pagdating sa India. Something to do with Suzuki Maruti Brand. Indonesia not sure, pero naging mabili ang APV sa kanila.

It was launched on 12 April 2012 in India[2] and on 22 April 2012 in Indonesia.[3] Maruti Suzuki proclaims it to be the first LUV (Life Utility Vehicle). It competes with the Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Tata Sumo Grande, Toyota Avanza and Nissan Grand Livina. This car is powered by K-series 1.4 litre petrol engine. A diesel version of this car is powered by Fiat's 1.3 litre Multijet engine. The car is based on extendedSuzuki Swift platform. This means that the Ertiga is a monocoque MPV; the first in India. It is also considered to be a cross between a saloon/hatchback and an MPV. It has beaten long-reigning Toyota Innova.

The Ertiga is said to be the production version of the R-III (R3) concept showcased by MSIL at the Indian Automobile Exposition 2010. Moreover the name Ertiga is said be an adaptation of R-Tiga where "Tiga" means "three" in Indonesian. The "R" stands for Rows. Therefore "Ertiga" is derived from "R3" which in turn means "(Swift with) Three Rows".
Critics from various automobile magazines evaluated this car, and compared it with other MPVs.
In the 16th Indonesia International Motor Show, three new concepts in the Ertiga's form are introduced, the Sports, Luxury and Crossover version, which are actually Ertigas heavily modified into concept cars. The normal version, in this case the GX, also appeared.

Front-wheel drive. Same diesel as the Spin. No news on if it'll ever come in.

Talked to my contacts. They're still mum about engine choices, but seriously, they need to bring in the Fiat diesel!

If they could bring the multijet diesel engine and 1.4L petrol, this will kill the Spin and Avanza. It looks like a winner.

No wonder it is the best selling small MPV in Indonesia and India.

Another plus point for the multijet engine, it's a win-win for both Ertiga and Spin because it will create a demand for more parts.

Baka made in India kasi pati yung Ertiga ng Indonesia ay galing India. Gas din lang yung sa Indonesia so baka gas din sa atin.

Kung hindi nila dalhin yung diesel, malamang talo pa rin ito sa Avanza because of the Pinoy Toyota "kuno" brand stigma (kahit na daihatsu talaga ang Avanza).

May nagpost sa tsikot fb na ahente from Suzuki Shaw. Parts are from India i think, but might be assembled in indonesia.

From the article that I posted, it's made in India.

I'm happy with after sales service of Suzuki. I go to Suzuki Auto Makati (by Peak Motors) for my Grand Vitara's PMS.

Sana hindi bare yung mga units na ibebenta sa atin. I pefer A/T so mukhang pwede na yung GL A/T
