New member here, nag ssearch ako regarding suzuki apv, buti may thread na ganito dito.
I'm planning to get an apv really really soon, second hand lang, mejo marami rami na rin akong units na nakita.
I have a few questions actually regarding the purchase, w/c I will post nalang sa buy and sell subgroup.
dito maybe the ff:
FC of the APV?
your thoughts regarding 2nd hand apv? mostly sa OLX marami, around 330-450k
common serviceable parts? mga pinapalitan/nililinis for every xxkm and usual price and place of interest (for genuine parts)
since i will get second hand, common do's and dont's sa apv?
and all that, nag backtrack na ako ng konti, like 20pages, kaso marami talaga posts na dito.

FC of the APV? Well depende sa maintenance, but common ang 11kms/li
Thoughts: Ok lang bumili ng 2nd hand APV as long as well maintained, no history of accidents (specially flooded), and clean ang papers.
Common serviceable: oil filter, spark plugs, brake pads, engine oil, transmission oil, etc.. (nasa booklet din ng APV yan, yun ang pinapakita sa casa)
do's and don'ts: uhmmm... basta common na yun sa mga driver.
IMO, madami sa OLX, naghahanap din ako. So far madaming mura specially yung GA (basic type) pero medyo onti lang difference sa Type II..
Low mileage din kunin mo, mag ccompute mo na yun sa taon kung 2011-2013 model siguro nasa 10k-30k ang milleage.
Be sure na hindi flooded.
And last, magdala ng suking mekaniko. yung magaling. kakilala mo.

Sir 12vdc kailangan ba ng APV ma clean yung EGR on regular basis? Casa can't find anything wrong with the engine no codes "daw" Pero during idle pag AC off nag shake yung engine.mahina lang mag shake Pero medyo ramdam sa cabin,Pero pag tinignan mo yung gauge Hindi nag babago yung rpm.the car just clocked 23,308 to be exact Kaya impossible na engine support.di Kaya engine timing?like Air and Fuel mixture?Pero bakit di makita sa casa?(thanks for those people who answer the thread I created)

Nanikit preno ko. Hanggang sa nag lock na ayaw nang mag dis-engage ng preno. Hinawakan ko front mags sobrang init!

Sir jyg. With gaso they dont get stuffed with carbon as much as diesels, but its worth tryin to check those emission control devices if ur having issues with idling and power. Your problem could be just an issue with engine mounts. I replaced my body mounts in less than 40k iirc(other car). Sometimes troubleshooting must be done by elimination method if the systematic method failed.
Sir thebats: check the caliper sliding pins and brake fluid if its rusted..

Sir 12vdc, I think Suzuki Caloocan found the problem.due to wrong gap of spark plugs daw? Kase during idle lang sya tas pag wala lang engine load Pero mag on ng ac or tumaas ng konti idle pag nag steer nawawala ung palag.
Glad to hear they fixed it. I would have told them to check the basics and should include sparkplugs /ignition coils.. Every 10k ba palit mo sp NGK BKR6E o Iridiums?
Medyo strange nga sir,yes every 10k NGK,twice nako nag palit last ko nung 20k tas ngayon 23k plus palang papalitan na daw po..
Sir 12vdc napalitan na po ung mga spark plugs ganon pa din Kaya sabi ko pa general check up sabi sa recommendation need to change hi tension wire.wala sila Kaya nag pa order na ko..here's my concern sir Hindi po Kaya sa valve ang problem kase bago to nag pa tappet adjust ako baka bent valve Kaya mapalag ung makina? Tapos tuwing pag Kaya patay nya merong pooping sound Pero Hindi tuloy tuloy ung sound paisaisa lang.
Hmm.. I thought naayos na, nag guesstimate lang din pala yung casa.. Sa casa kung wala puesa on hand, snswap nila pyesa ng ibang nagpapa service to isolate the problem, so mas madali talaga kung sa casa mo ipa troubleshoot. Pero since sabi mo may last-touch job ng valve, then start ka doon ng pag isolate.. May tools sa casa to diagnose, problem is elimination method pa rin sila kung wala error sa scan tool.
Yun yung una nila sir ginawa tas sabi natama na daw made ung valve clearance Kaya nag shake parin Kaya next na sabi sa spark plug yan mali ang gap.tas kanina pag palit po ng plugs ganon padin Kaya sabi ko pa general check up na lang.tas ang kinalabasan sira daw po ung high tension wire na oorderin pa nila...yun po Kaya talaga yun? Pag nila nila nasira hung mag valve clearance sila?
Possible ht wires, nag high resistance. Ask mo kung panu nila nasabi yun problem, baka sunod sasabihin sayo ignition coils na, then sunod change engine na.. Lol.. Ask mo para kamo kung hindi pa rin sigurado change casa ka na.[emoji111]️
Pwede bang cause nun sir yung over tight na valve? Tas na bent yung valve? Pero I don't think that there mechanic is that stupid na Hindi alam ang tamang clearance.naalala ko kase yung post mo na walang power pag coils and wire.eh maayos sya pag umaandar sa idle pag walang load yung engine dun lang pumapalag.
Balistad yung sakin, normal sa idle then intermittent power lung may load. Pwede siguro pa double check na rin yung clearance since sila din naman ang last touch dapat covered yung workmanship ng warranty.
Any info on where to find a replacement radiator for an A/T APV? Thanks!

Denso nga yata yung OEM radiator natin. Medyo sumablay na oil cooler ko. Di na kayang i-overhaul. Di madalas masira APV ko pero pag nasira, naiiyak ako sa gastos. P6k lang yung radiator pang M/T. Wala pang lumalabas na replacement para sa A/T. Kahit kina Jonathan ng Olympia wala. So ayun, casa uli.

1st time ba bumigay yung radiator mo? Its not clear to me if Denso is indeed the parts put on the APV. But you can try dropping by the Denso shops around the city. There's one in Ortigas, inside the preowned car shop facing Meralco. I had my APV aircon serviced there, with a whopping 21K bill, the biggest car repair bill I had. And recently replaced the blower motor on my Escape, billed at 8K. My credit card got sore, but it had to be done.

I had my APV serviced at Speedyfix, with close to 105K-km on the odo. Almost a full-blown PMS job, replaced all fluids (ATF, engine, differential, brakes, coolant), slapped in new spark plugs, oil filter, and front brake pad. Only the air filter was left undisturbed, to be replaced on the next PMS.
I still noticed the mileage is somewhere in 5-6km/li city driving. I was hoping the PMS job could push it to 7. Any ideas to offer? Haven't done any highway runs yet.
