+1. Kahit ano pa kotse mo basta mabilis takbo at nakipagbanggaan, pare-pareho lang mangyayari sa mga yan.

hehehe, grbe wasak na wsak tsk tsk even a Ferrari car can be like that given an incompetent driver.

And who said that small cars ay lugi sa head to head collision tignan nyu ito:

bakit may pagkain? napapaisip tuloy ako baka nageenjoy magdrive yung driver. pero what really happened there? akala ko nga rin sa unang basa ko lang was nagsalpukan alto at qq eh..

astig talaga yang smart fortwo na yan. FOR ME i think it is the most safest small car around. naaalala ko yung preview ng safety ng car na yan sa official site nila dati by slamming it with the truck's ball (yung may bilog na mabigat that's used to slam and destroy buildings) with the driver inside. guess what? buo pa rin (well siyempre with some minor wreck lang mostly yung plastic parts). and no im not making stories here. buhay yung driver and unhurt. nausog lang yung car ng impact pero its like nothing lang compared to those photos here. BTW, i only based my statement here sa nakita kong promotion nila sa safety nung car sa site nila dati. i still need to see it in flesh to make me satisfied pero seeing the collision with the smart there parang i have no need to ask for it na..

yes it's still unsafe. ipit ka kaagad sa banggaan lalo na pag frontal collision. ang laki ng chance mamatay pag harapan tapos maiipit pa bodyparts mo. the body as far as i could remember all those na nasakyan ko was made of thin pieces only. lalo na yung mga ginagawang school services. pero still, it can withstand minor impacts kahit manipis lang yung body niya. pero i wont want our safety be in sacrifice just for owning the ride

Think again. The Smart car was rated POOR in a frontal collision with another car.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg64wMtl2gQ"]YouTube - 2007-2011 Mercedes-Benz C320 (W204) Vs. 2008-2011 Smart ForTwo IIHS Offset[/ame]

The Smart driver would have a cracked skull and sustain fatal injuries at just 40MpH, normal EDSA traffic.

The US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests are about the physics of car crashes, which dictate that small cars generally can't protect people in crashes as well as bigger, heavier models.

Its all about the Laws of Physics.

    40mph is 64 km/h.

    Both cars going 40mph is 128 km/h.

When are you ever going to be driving into something on EDSA at 128 km/h? And if you do, it's your own damn fault you're dead.

And all the video proves is that a car rated at three stars in US crash tests isn't as safe as a car rated at five stars. The crash tests showed that midsized cars are safer than small cars, but those midsized cars they used were all five-star vehicles, while the small cars ranged from three (SMART), four (Yaris) to five (Jazz)... the Jazz fared the best, but obviously not as good as the Accord it hit.

It's utterly misleading to say the test proves "bigger is better" and end it at that... why not crash a Fit into a Ford F150? As Fifth Gear showed with their Renault Modus versus Volvo 940 crash test, a five-star small car will completely outperform a larger car with worse crash protection. And many old-school, big, ladder-frame SUVs score very poorly on crash tests... pickups do even worse. It's worth noting that none of the seven seat off-roaders (Fortuner/Everest/Alterra/Montero) are sold in markets with strict crash requirements. The Montero might pass... the Strada performed decently in EuroNCAP... though it's still not a five-star performance.

That said... given the way bus drivers drive in the Philippines, whether you're driving a small car or a hulking SUV, when you're in the line of fire, you're dead... witness the fatalities even in big cars like the Everest... near fatalities in the Fortuner in that last big crash (no one died because no one was in the back seat... everything behind the driver was wiped out)... the death of Vandolph's girl in their Ford...

It's all about presence of mind... knowing how to see danger and pulling out of the way when it's coming.

And of course, not creating the danger, yourself. ;)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

i went back to their site kaso i dont know where it is now. it's missing. i almost lost my hope to prove it. good thing i saw it after an extensive research kaso this time its the making of the flash presentation that i saw years ago i think. its still the man (who looks like an engineer) i saw before.

i know the differences pero naninibago lang ako sa mga crash test nila na talagang wrecked inabot niya compare sa video na to

it only shows that it's better to purchase a second hand japanese car than to buy an alto or qq. if i'll buy a car, at this very moment, i'll certainly choose a 5 year old honda than to have any of those cars.

i would not like to offend alto and qq owners out there. this is just my opinion. good day.

Yung previous owner ang nagpakabit na nun. Anyway, sa Road Fit sa Banawe, may door visors para sa Alto, 2k-2,500k yata.
