Im using a Suzuki Alto, I have no problems when its raining. The only problem I encounter is when Public Utility vehicles especially Big Buses take over your lane to the point where you will almost hit. They are big bullies. so many instances. DAMN! mamatay na sila!

had the chance to testdrive krazeyrock's alto kanina. ok handling and magaan dalin. di rin pala ganun kaliit ang alto, parang mahaba lang ng konti corolla ko kung titignan. ok lang din ang laki ng compartment. napansin ko ding ok ang ICE kasi up front ang location ng speakers kaya palagay ko madali diskartehan ng simpleng SQ mod yung auto.

overall verdict, its fun to drive! i want one!:D

    Help me please

i am hoping somebody would give me a bit of an enlightenment here... my wife and i are planning of getting an Alto... and we have given it a better consideration despite of friends and relatives giving it negative feedbacks...but the review Sir Niky has made gave us a better view of what to expect from it... but this paragraph is a bit of a confusion for me... i got it from Sir nikys' review...

......"Not so strange, considering it’s a licensed Indian copy of the Japanese Suzuki Alto, re-badged as a Suzuki for local sale. Uhh… yeah. At least Indian labor makes it cheap."

so the new alto is indian made... and they got a licence from Suzuki japan to copy the alto... so that means the company that made the new suzuki alto is no longer suzuki... am i right?? if so, is the "new' suzuki alto as dependable as the first Suzuki alto made by the Japs...??? please... anybody... help us out... maraming salamat

Maruti Suzuki is 54.2% owned by Suzuki of Japan. I don't think Suzuki will let it pass that a company that they own a majority of will have less quality standards and allow them to sell using their name.

It is made by Indians, following Japanese standards.

Think of it as something similar to how Apple has factories in China making iPods. It doesn't matter where it's made, you have the assurance of the Apple brand.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto should have little to no difference with anything they've released in Japan. Lest Suzuki would have stopped their production at an early stage. Maruti has already recently crossed the 1 million production figure for the Alto, and it still proudly carries the Suzuki brand.

hello altoids! (sounds like a cool nickname ) i test-drove an alto this morning and now im convinced. i'll get one within the week, hopefully. The unit i drove was a standard version. The manual steering was surprisingly not so heavy. And the acceleration was even more amazing. Im coming from years of automatic transmission so ill be expecting a long adjustment period with the manual. The cabin was comfortable not all cramped. It only felt tight when i tried to reach for the lever beside my seat when i wanted to recline it a little. The space is just enough for your hand to reach between the seat and the door. Shifting to fifth gear would also hit the knee of your passenger. But im not worried about that since i drive alone anyway when i buy one and i wont keep on readjusting my seat anyway.

To cut a long story short, i love it! EXcited na ako to bring one home

So here's where i need the help of the "Altoids". Since im buying a standard version, i plan to upgrade the rims. Ive never bought rims all my life so i dont know where to look. And especially where i could find shops that will sell small ones for the Alto.

Please post your opinions for the following questions:

    1) What size of rims and tires would look the best and still wont affect driving safety.
    2) Where can i buy/trade-in them
    3) How much is the whole set?

Can the guys also post a pic of their altos so i can have an idea on how to "personalize" my future alto.(masyado ba obvious na excited na ako?)

Thanks to all in advance and more power to your 800cc!

Altoids! Very cute nickname indeed. And with the size of this compact it is indeed comparable to a certain breath mint with the same name.

I just got mine today! I got a Deluxe. The very last one at Suzuki Kalookan! I'm very happy with it.

I hope I can be more help, but the reason I got the Deluxe is I didn't want to worry about adding anything.

Good luck hunting for your rims!
