Question to current (and former) Gen. 1 Vitara owners -- how does the Vitara's ride compare to an AUV (let's say a Toyota Revo or an Isuzu Crosswind)? Is it just the same, worse or better?

The stock set up rides like a REVO. I used Monroe shocks sa likod ng Vitara. Medyo stiff siya. No idea how it rides on KYB's.

    * OTEP: Thanks for the input! I guess I'll feel right at home in a stock Vitara then, as I have been using a Revo for the past 8 years.

i use KYB shocks gas type sa rear, then refilled(by Zee) shocks sa front. medyo matagtag din, due to the short wheel base.

kung compare sa old fx at sa old hilander, halos parehas lang sa tagtag. but with 4 adults riding nababawasan ang tagtag

    Luckytruck,

If you want a Vitara then go for it. Vitara is a very capable SUV that can go beyond any terrain where other Carlike SUVs can't. There are many Suspension brands available in the market that offers lift in order to make your rig trail ready vehicle and skimp over those rocks, otherwise a Vitara is already good in its stock form. It also has a high towing ability. See Related topics http://4x4ph.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=1663&

    Hope it helps!

thanks for the input pare. i have already taken a look at the Calmini website. very tempting yung 3 inch susp lift nila with 3 inch body lift. parang tonka ang labas ng vitara. now that is something you don't see everyday, a Vitara on 31s or maybe even 32s

    Makikisingit po.

I used to own a Honda Civic, a Mazda 323 Speed Familia. Now I own a Suzuki Vitara JL:X and a Ford Escape. Tells you something ?

Ayaw ko na ng sedan! Iba talaga kung mas mataas ka sa ibang driver sa kalsada.

yup, i agree. and if you lift it and put mud tires, mas marami pa talagang mapuntahan yan.

as for the executive image. wala na yan, its not what car you drive anymore, its how you carry yourself and your company and if you can deliver results.

and if the topic oc your car comes up, hirit ka lang, "i drive a trail ready vitara coz i work hard during the week but i need to recharge during the weekends" you will get more points with that, then driving an old benz.

    Hi guys:

Im planning to buy a 96 or 97 Vitara. I appreciate it very much and definitely will help me with my decision if you can give any feedback about the vehicle model.

    thanks in advance.

Are you getting the A/T or the M/T? Well we had a Vitara for 8 years and its a reliable vehicle. A/T averages around 7-8kms/li don't know about the manual. Its kinda cramped at the rear (seats) and boot, has a plastiky interior, high ground clearance. Check the aircon (if it cools even at idle), we had problems with it before.

ano ba bro requirements mo for the vehicle that you want? May following ang Vitara. Had a 95 unit na manual. The gas consumption is on the high side. 7-7.5 km/ltr. The engine is torquey giving you good pulling power but of course may trade off pag high speed na. Matibay ilalim. Kung diesel yung Vitara I'd buy it again anytime. Parts di ganun karami relative sa Toyota/Honda. Kung konsumo very important sayo then think twice. Yung matic minsan 5-6 km/ltr lang depende sa kondisyon nung makina. May Vitara club nga pala and they are a big help if ever you decide to get one. Ok ipang-off road yan.

anyone using the suzuki vitara jlx(?) 1995/96 model? yung boxy body type pa...we are planning to buy one kasi just to transport us from point A to B but with great consideration to fuel consumption. how much yung fuel consumption ng vitara nyo in terms of km/liters or miles per gallon? may diesel variant din ba 'to (specially in europe/UK)? kung meron, ano rin yung fuel consumption? yung 2nd row seat ba pwede i-fold yon for more space (para in case may ikakarga kami na medyo malaki sa likod)? thanks in advance.
