well, problem is that the ts cant accept his illusion of lack basic of knowledge of owning a car is a proper excuse, thus he opted to blame shell.

the ts kept insisting that lack of knowledge is a valid excuse and that stupidity does not count. - same reason some came hard on him on a nice way, yet the ts kept on using ignorance as a valid defense.

same with the law, ignorantia legis non excusat.

paano ba nabutas... imagination will fly.

Still wondering how a "rock" punctured the oil catch/pan/reservoir.

We can rule out that it was a "ricochet" from another vehicle going over the rock since the angle is too low.

So the rock was likely stationary and "minding its own business" and the car "fell onto it".

My curiosity is just trying to wrap my head around the area where it happened. Is the "rock" the only thing jutting out of the road then while everything was nice and clean pavement?

Or was there road works (basag na yung kalsada and may bato nakakalat sa daan) but it was taken at "speed" without slowing down?

Or, regardless of the above, was there distracted driving involved that's why the rock that was stationary wasn't noticed at all?

I am just running it in my head kasi nalubak na din naman ako ilang beses. Nangyari almost midnight sa akin and visibility was poor kasi walang streetlights and walang kasabay sa daan to help light up the road.

Wala lang, napaisip lang ako how it happened (yung pagbutas in the first place) since intayan na lang sa findings ito ng casa, update sa insurance and rebuttal ni Shell then reaction ni TS

I just hope TS will come back to us with an update. We could all learn from his experience.

as i recall, a popular auto journalist reviewed this very celerio.
he mentioned some cvt sniggles, but that they were "live-able naman".
because i did not read similar sniggles in the mirage camp, i assume, "it's not an exact copy".

Ano ba nakakasira ng CVT? Fluid starvation? Isn't it the same with regular A/T or M/T for that matter?

The latter 2 have better chances of resurrection w/o swapping the entire assembly, 'conscience' sir.[emoji4] The CVT friction push belt, once it loses an element, toast won't be long.[emoji17]

it's like chain mail. it's strong, as long as all the links hold up.
but once a link fails, and the pressure is persistent (which it is, in cvt), sunud-sunod na mga yan.
just lookit the opened vios cvt box. small pieces of metal...

So it boils down to maintenance and putting the correct fluid.

I've talked to a honda tech 2 weeks ago and asked him ano ba problema ng mga CVT ng Honda especially yun 1st Gen. He said based on their findings almost all is because of wrong fluid used.

To appreciate why to not CVT, one has to have a full grasp of its design & operation.[emoji12]Friction leads nowhere but to wear & sad short stories.[emoji852]
