Sana binasa mo manual or dala mo lagi sa car. pakita sa mechanic para malagay tamang fluids ng car mo.

If you really want to make Shell liable, better go directly to a lawyer. Alam nila ano gagawin diyan lalo na sa mga liabilities etc. Baka magawan pa yan ng paraan.
Ano ba talaga gusto mong mabasang replies?

Kumpleto na ang advice may paunang condolence na din, kaya wait nalang dapat tayo sa update ng casa.![]()
My advise is do a AtF dialysis first before replacing the CVT. Baka mafix.

A prayer. It's vital to have the dialysis equipment to be totally free of whatever fluid it has from the previous unit/s it serviced. I wonder how much such would set the OP back. Proper CVTF alone won't be hobo...If it'll be a significant sum, it maybe wiser to just spend on the swap + mind peace. The symptoms indicate damage that may have been too far gone. IMHO.

Nice. We have a newbie snowflake who cant handle the truth. Naghahanap pala ng kakampi.
Sa tagal na natin sa board na ito, i dare say, ang mga tsikot at kotse.com oldies have had our fair share of mishaps, botched repairs and budget meal fails. Kaya if you are a newbie, listen and listen good. Matagal na kami dito. Alam namin sinasabi namin. Hindi mamaru. Marami marunong dito out of experience.
Still, i hope your insurance can cover, otherwise, id keep my 13th month pay to help pay for the repairs. And next time, try to atleast read the owner's manual and get to know your car a bit.

Too many people who know nothing about cars ... and don't know how to drive properly ... basic common sense ... you hit something hard while driving ... you stop ... check for leaks ... call a tow truck ... call the insurance ... check the manual ...
Instead, you drive some distance not knowing what's wrong or what's leaking ... then find someone to blame for your ignorance ... then go online to get sympathy and support (maybe your social media "friends" are not giving enough?) ... best to start reading and learning a little about about how vehicles work instead of spending time on social media ...
Haaay, if i am the owner of the car, i could've just read the manual so i have an idea on what to do, or what i need to buy.
I just do hope the owner knew how to replace a flat tire, just in case. [emoji3]
I have been here in this forum for quite a while to know that most people here are brutally frank and does not baby other forumers, especially newbies.
Nangyari din to sa isa kong friend na naka Celerio. TAKE NOTE: Sa shell din siya nag pa-PMS! Ngayon di na nya halos magamit yung celerio nya. [emoji2359][emoji22]

At this point, it's futile pinpointing the exact reason of mechanical failure. The hit punctured the pan (You should be able to work this with your insurance).
Fluid starvation while car was driven could've caused damage nobody, not even the dealership, could guage. Quoting their speculations won't hold water.
Running on wrong fluid, a definite nono. CVTs, once they go downhill, they self destruct to irreparability.
Your best route shouldn't be fault-finding but fixing via insurance & dealership. Let's pray that'll be a smooth 1. Should that route be impassable, weigh on the cost of a new tranny against the car's current value. If the ratio is too close to be practical, go less ideal option of a used unit, preferably from a low mile salvage than an uncertain 'surplus'. You might end up w/ a junk replacement or 1 that's on its way. Whatever you choose, renew the fluid.
On forum reaction? Regardless of how the messages were delivered, they all were sound. Nobody can turn bad news good, however one spins. Me? I'd rather have someone knock me some sense & move on than play the blame game or being stuck staring at spilt milk....or fluid, in this case. Sorry, just had to.[emoji4]
Again, wish you a quick recovery & hopefully hindsight will show that the shadow who followed you was indeed your good conscience.[emoji4][emoji120]

i am now confused.
TS narrated how he got his oilpan punctured by a large rock, and how the gas station mechanics fixed it.
...how did the CVT/ATF get into the picture? hindi ba hiwalay yang CVT sa engine oil?
..traditional home-made-self-taught auto mechanic here, back when cars had carburators, cast iron engine blocks, two-speed AT and three-speed column-mounted MT.

i did notice, that there are many scour marks on the lower part the bumper. ... it gives me the impression, that the car was being driven off-road regularly...
if i were the insurance provider, and i found out that the "event" occurred off-road, i would probably decline any claim.
