The jimny's small footprint is quite popular in the VisMin area where rural mountain roads are rough, narrow, and requires a reliable 4x4 system.

Not just this....ease in parking, short wheelbase maneuverabilty, to add to the obvious pluses. An ideal beginner or raw-skilled driver vehicle.

while the google-reported turning circle of the 3-dr jimny is a decent 9.8 meters, the 5-dr's is 11.4 meters!
in comparison, the innova's is 10.8 meters, our 2015 altis's is 10.4 (10.8?), and the classic volkswagen beetle 1967's is 11.08 meters.
when we still drove the classic VW, we would make buwelo considerably to enter our tight eskenita, a maneuver we did not have to do in our innova.

Could be the combination of the 290mm longer wheelbase on the 5dr and the 4wd hardware(on both jimnies) increasing the turning circle. The Revo's 9.8m turning circle balloons to 11.4m with 4wd suspension fitted on the taiwanese 4wd/prerunner variants.

I could not complain when I parked the pickup with 12.6m inside Isettan CM Recto.

I guess its just a matter of "sanayan sa steering or tanchahan" since i also shift driving from small HBs like Wigo, Jimny to MPV, PPV's, SUV's.

11.4m is not good for a car that size considering an awd Subaru XV which is much larger can do it in 10.6m

This is similar to Santa Fe's turning circle of 11.42m.
Very frustrating talaga U turn lalo na in tight roads.
Pero OK lang din, minsan lang naman tayo nag uuturn on roads.

That's just a baduy setup on the 3-door though. I still think the 3-door proportions are better if the owner doesn't **** it up.

Maganda pang inter -island journeys itong jimmy. Masikip sa mga ferry kaya ayuz din. Fights maski puro truck at bus ang mga katabi mo.

And mataas Ang rampa Ng ingress/egress Ng mga ferry so walang problema din.

Yup I remember this. Took a car onto Fastcat the week before holy week two years ago. The roro ticket had an insurance component covering damage incurred while on the ferry.
