2014 Suzuki swift 1.2

The K&N filter for Indian-made Swifts is the 33-2968. I already confirmed it from the Team BHP forums. Note that the Ertiga and Indian-made Swift 1.2 have the exact same air filter. I'm also looking for one, but I'm more particularly interested in the Hurricane stainless steel air filter. I have it on my Soul and like it much better than the K&N. The Hurricane/Ferrox air filter for the Ertiga/Swift 1.2 is HS-0301. Too bad the local Hurricane dealer doesn't have it in stock.

The taxes and duties would be P550 (fixed fees like doc stamp tax, import tax, etc.) + duties (percentage of the total on your receipt or their appraisal if you don't have a receipt; likely 10 to 15% for an air filter) + P100 (postage fee, fixed; used to be just P50 in 2014). If the air filter is $50 with free shipping, expect the tax and duties to be over P1,000. I used to import a lot of stuff, but customs have become more troublesome over the past few years. Not worth the trouble imo, lalo na ngayon Christmas.

Dealer's free tint usually is of low quality. It's always cheaper and better to have it tinted outside of dealer.

Plus hindi pulido yung pagkakakabit from dealer, i saw it done, minamadali pa. Have mine removed and re-tinted sa isang detailing shop.

Question ka-Swift, mine is July 2015 model A/T transmission * 2,800 km reading , i just notice na may rattling sound ang engine once open ang hood at naka start. i ask sa casa which is alabang suzuki kung bakit ganun kaingay. it is normal daw because our swift is equipped with the timing chain and it is not belt kagaya ng sa mga modern car ngayon. hopefully someday makadalo ako sa mga meet-ups ng swift club and would like to observe their engine sound while on idling process . but my dad is a mechanical engr. told me that the sound is normal if our swift is really uses timing chain and not belt.

Normal yan bro. Si bro fargin lang nagsabi sakin nyan noon, pero di ko naman napansin kungdi nya pointed out. Not sure if its because of timing chain.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share my review on my swift 1.2 a/t 2015 not yet touchscreen.

FC = i almost hit the 14km/l medyo mabigat ang paa ko dahil masyado ko na eenjoy ang pag dadrive ng swift i ended up to get 13.1 km/l NORMAL DRIVING.

Performance = wala ako masasabi the best and twice ko na natest si swift carrying five adults(3 overweight) going at tagaytay downhill and uphill to talisay. playing gear changes from L D2 D(O/D off).

Overtaking Capability = dito ako medyo bitin since hindi ko advice na gayahin nyo ako i use O/D off while overtaking on highway and hindi ko napapansin 130 kph to 150 kph is kayang kaya ng 3rd gear to give you pulling power . since overtake na enjoy ko yung pagka revy ng swift natin dahil once na off mo yun o/d rpm goes to 3,000 * 100kph and i nearly pumped my rpm to 5,500-6,000 hitting
150 kph on highway. again i just did this because wala akong kasabay at maluwag ang highway i am aware of the law and consequences when i get caught just sharing expected ko na laklak ng gas si swift and yun hindi ako nagkamali hehe lakas kumain ng ginawa ko.

Riding comfort = since are swift have extra height mas gusto ko yun handling niya carrying 4 passenger mas smooth or mas malambot ang suspension , pero i actually loving it the stiffness of my swift suspension sana lang magtagal ang mga pang ilalim and wala ma encounter na problem so on or after 5 years.

Problem & issue
1. un windshield washer ko di nagana brought up to casa and they will change naman daw agad kung magkaproblema ang motor.
2. aircon may bad smell once na bagong bukas pero nawawala after 2-3 minutes or pag ka on ng A/C
3. grinding sounds during soft or half foot on brake


medyo feeling pogi pag bagong carwash i dont know kasi pag vios or civic nman hindi naman masyado tinitignan pag dadaan ka may parang head turner factor ang swift haha.

Odometer 2,800+ pa lang and 4th month ko will be mid of dec. 2015.

Question.
gusto ko sana malinis and to check yun air filter and cabin filter.( di ba mavovoid kung pakikielaman ko ?)
wanted to replace yun light ng plate natin sa likod ng white? anong type kaya socket nun at di ba mavovoid warranty?
wanted to improve a little bit yun sounds ng swift? adding subwoofer or buying decent set of speakers?
acid rain sa windshield and windows do you guys have any tip to remove and how to avoid?

If you're going to have it replaced, better not to have tint installed by dealer. For one, it will cost to have it removed, another is they might damage the rear defogger (does it have?) while removing.

Guys, ano kayang cause ng bad smell going out of the air vent during high speed ng Swift ko? Can't describe the smell na parang chemical na ewan. Not sure if its mold kasi hindi pa ako nakaka amoy ng lumot. Nawawala naman yung smell.
