Ok thanks Slyfox. Pag-aralan ko muna he he he! Will have to see the actual unit at the showroom muna. Have u calculated the fuel efficiency?

Nakakainis kasi mga friends ko, instead of being supportive, kinokontra ako... mag-RAV4 or Fortuner na lang daw ako... e ayoko ng Toyota. Mas gusto ko pa nga Mitsubishi e. Oohh Grandis or the upcoming Outlander!!!!

When you say the suspension is stiff... can you describe it? Do you mean na matagtag na parang AUV?

So that means, it has to be either XCS, Vortex Gold or Shell's Premium Unlead (not sure). Nagulat nga ako kasi alam ko minimum ng Seaoil is 95+.

Rebel: Ilan ba consumo ng GV mo? But besides the consumption, contented ka naman sa GV mo?

From the review of motioncars.com, pwede na 93+ octane rating so pwede na yung normal unleaded gasoline

Ok naman pero still bihira gamitin kasi.

It's nice to know na pwede na normal unleaded.

Consumption ko is a little above 4km/Liter but all of it city driving.

Rebel: Ngayks!!

    Rebel,

How many kilometers can your GV run in one full tank?

    Thanks!

    Hi Guys!

Any owners here who hear a metal-to-metal rattling sound from the dashboard of the GV? I only hear this irritating sound when the tranny is in Reverse and the engine is still cold. Where can this sound come from?

Hello everyone, meron ba balita if Suzuki Philippines will bring in a 4x2 version of the 2006 GV? 2006 GV has a 4x2 version right?

I'm hoping to buy one but 1.2M for M/T or 1.275 for A/T is too high, mapaisip ka pa na pigain pa further ang budget and mag Fortuner (1.308M) and seat more people.

I hope their marketing realizes this and try to come up with a trim that can go 1M to about 1.1M, and having the 4x2 might do it. I don't mind losing the 4x4.

    Thanks!

I know in the US there's a 4x2 version. Sige, I will ask the sales agent tomorrow when I get my GV if maglalabas sila ng 4x2

Finally..... I got my Grand Vitara yesterday Overall, I'm very happy with the SUV but I noticed that mabilis pumalo sa 2,000 rpm if I shift to "D" (I guess this is normal?!) so ang lumalabas, parang slightly hirap mag-accelerate. But when I shift to "3" to accelerate, mas ok... di kaagad pumapalo sa 2,000 rpm.

Coz my driving habit is to avoid hitting more than 2,000 rpm.... and tipid ko no?!

Now my question is.... is it ok to start from "3" then shift to "D"? Or will this only increase my fuel consumption?

I just hope that I get my plate number soon para magamit ko na.

    PS:
So far, there's no plan to introduce the 4x2 model.

    PPS:
Totoo kaya yun?

    HI 3ple4!

Congrats on getting your new GV!

I usually drive my GV and maintain the engine revving at 2,000 RPM the most. During accelaration, I don't usually shift to "3" and just stick to "D" but I surpass 2,000 RPM at first so I can pick up speed. Once the GV is running already, I maintain RPM below 2,000. You won't feel the heaviness of the GV when overtaking in highways.

Anyway, for the gas, check your gas tank cover. It has a sticker saying that the GV requires gasoline with 95 or higher octane rating. Same thing with the Swift as far as I know. You can fill up at Seaoil. Their regular unleaded is already 95 octane rating.

    Enjoy your GV!

It's an automatic put it on "D" and let the transmission shift to the correct gear like it was meant to do.

    Hi Cardo!

    The last update I got:

    GV A/T - 1.275M
    GV M/T - 1.225M

All features are the same for both except for the tranny.

I got my insurance from PGA, around 33k.

I did not have my GV serviced yet because the first PMS check up is 5000 kilometers. No break-in check-up at 1000 kilometers required.

VSM, the manual version was already available since the new GV's release last year.
