ey thanks for the clarification. hmmm so it isn't as bad as i thought after all. now i'm really leaning towards the GV over the tribute. cheers!

Grabe, gusto ko na bumili ng GV he he he! Last year ko pa yan pinag-iisipan. But now that I've read your comments, it's so tempting he he he! I work in Binondo and surprisingly, marami-rami din ako nakita up to the streets of Tutuban he he he!
As for accessories, if I heard it correctly, magkakaroon na ng accessories ang EGR pero wala pa ngayon.
Ok na yung mileage ng GVs nyo, my 1st gen CRV consumes around 6-6.5 km/liter pag city driving.
Is it true na walang red na GV? US model lang daw meron. Sabi yan ng taga-Suzuki Shaw sa akin when they had a booth in Robinson's Galleria a few months ago.
the Grand Vitara is a good buy. Pilhino's after sales service tho is really questionable. we have the older GV and it's performing well for a 6 yr old car. i just hope the aircon on the new GV is much better. ours isn't exactly up to Toyota standards. and that's a big thing in today's heat.
btw... there's a new Suzuki showroom in Caloocan... just after Mitsubishi Caloocan.
ey guys thanks for all the help. just got my unit na and i'm enjoying every bit of it. hope you guys get a GV too. cheers!

I also have the same combo! GV and RAV4!
But sadly, I already sold my RAV4 just last week!
parehong pareho yung side profile
Pero mas maluwag yung interior space ng GV when i checked it out the last time it was on display at Galleria.

Please give us a short review of your GV. Everyone seems to be giving all positive feedback... wala bang negative? I'd prefer to hear the negative para ma-weigh ko yung pros n conssaan branch mo binili yung unit mo?
got mine from suzuki p.tamo. so far ok naman although i noticed some vibrations sa steering wheel and the suspension is still a bit stiff (maybe coz its new?). this is my first suv so i'm still kinda adjusting.Originally Posted by 3ple4
as for the rav 4 twin...yeah this is what i noticed first time i saw the GV. but the GV is way roomier and less expensive pa.![]()
Regarding the power & torque issue, eto yung nakita ko sa C! Magazine & from the brochure of the 06 Grand Vitara:
Previous Grand Vitara 2.0
Curb Weight: 1355-1700 kg (I guess the heaviest is the XL7)
HP: 126
Torque (lb-ft): 128
2006 Grand Vitara 2.0
Curb Weight: 1530-1550 kg
HP: 145
Torque (lb-ft): 142 or 193 Nm * 4,000 rpm
Would you guys know if the increase in Torque will compensate the added weight of the 06 Grand Vitara?

Is the GV on display in the Suzuki Pasong Tamo showroom?
How long did it take you to get yours? May stock ba sila or you had to wait?
Is it true na walang Red na GV kasi yung Red daw is only available in the US market?!
Gusto ko tawagan Suzuki to inquire pero wala sila sa Yellow Pages![]()

One bad thing on the GV is that it requires high-octane fuel (RON 95 or higher). Nevertheless, Seaoil solves the problem! Their regular unleaded gas is already RON 95! Cheaper than Blaze or Velocity!
For the suspension, it's really a bit stiff. But it is very good on unpaved roads (super quiet pa rin) and hindi bouncy yung ride sa lubak!
A/C is fast-cooling. Tested ko na during these hot summer days. Not as cold as our Nissan though.
Overall, the GV is really a good package! Got mine from Suzuki Auto Quezon Avenue (Sunny Motors). Got it last December 2005 pa.
The Zuk's ride is a bit stiff compared to other CUVs coz of the suspension. Is the new GV still ladder on frame?

Yes, the GV has a built-in ladder frame!
