ask ko na rin kung meron kayong alam na dealer nang suzuki cars sa bandang south (alabang, laguna or batangas). want to visit sana one of their showrooms.

i heard na meron daw diesel na GV sa new zealand, meron ba tayong idea kung lalabas din ang type na ito dito sa atin? medyo much concern kasi sa akin ang fuel consumption dahil malayuan kasi palagi ang daily na biyahe ko. prefer ko sana diesel engine para tipid nang konti.

No diesel version coming out here yet but if lumabas dito sana common-rail para malakas and matipid.

tenks sa information, sir rebel. if i am going to acquire sana this car (kung sakaling magkapera ulit... ehehe) ay gusto ko sana malapit sa amin for maintenance concern lang. medyo malayo naman kasi kung galing pa ako batangas for PMS lang 'di ba? well, problemahin ko na lang ito kapag meron na ako nito 'di ba? try ko wait for the diesel version dahil wala pa naman ako pambili eh..... sana maglabas din sila dito....

My best was around 7km/L, combined city and highway. The 6.5km/L is purely city. Just to give you an idea, my one full tank can run around 355 kilometers.

hey guys i just visited the suzuki showroom along edsa in manda. saw the grand vitara. looks great! well ok the dealer's place kinda sucked and the unit they showed was even dusty and all but the GV sure was a looker. kinda concerned lang about the gas consumption tho. doesn't its 2.0L engine make it a bit weak for its size and weight? plus i wonder bout the after sales service of suzuki. the shop looked like an old junkyard and they were even servicing some taxis! any suzuki owners here care to comment?

Just finished my GV's full tank and latest mileage is 8 km/l combined city and highway. One full tank went for 445 kilometers.

Went to Punta Fuego and ok naman power. 4 people and luggage, ok naman pull and overtaking.

hmm is 8km/l for city and highway driving pretty good for a cuv? sorry i wouldnt know coz i've never had one. i've always been a car guy and so it seems rather strong on gas. just curious coz im really seriously considering a GV. thanks for ur replies...

Hi Dude!

As far as I know, typical mileages of mini-SUVs range from 6 to 8 km/l combined city and highway. Based on experience, it can go up to 14 km/l on pure highway (on a RAV4 SV). Mileages of 7 to 8 km/l is considered fuel efficient already.

8 km/L is decent enough for a compact SUV... considering that it has a bigger engine and a more inefficient drag profile (as compared to a normal sedan).
