i have a 2002 vitara that needs ball joint replacement. i was told that the whole control arm together with the ball joint needs to be replaced since its an assembly. is it really so? are there alternative approaches in replacing the ball joint? thank you so much. cant imaging buying the whole thing while the only worn out part is the ball joint.

November 2nd, 2008 12:34 PM #3i guess have to bite the bullet. but its well worth it. its a weekend trail vehicle going to a beach property where a low gear is required.
my dad's jimny turned out to be a better off roader. if only they come with a bigger body and engine to accomodate the whole family.
