December 22nd, 2004 10:34 PM #1Hi guys, Okay ba ang Grand Vitara? How does it compare with the other Mini SUVs? Escape, X-trail, CRV, RAV4 etc. Taking all things into consideration except price and popularity, performance lang. Thanks!

lamang siya sa ibang mini-suv kasi ladder-on-frame ang chassis so mas stable siya off road. it is a real off-roader, unlike the others that are only good on sand and gravel.
pero kung kaya mo bumili ng grand vitara, konti na lang need mo add sa budget mo for a grand vitara xl_7. full 7 seater suv na yan.
check mo sa www.motioncars.com for comparisson of specs with others and for pricing.

Like they said, the Grand Vitara works much better off-road since it's a real SUV with a ladder-on-frame chassis. Get this if you will use it quite often on bad terrain. Otherwise, you can have more performance and fun in car-based 4x4s like the RAV.

December 22nd, 2004 11:38 PM #6Di naman ako off-roader eh, I'm going to use it mostly sa city lang and family use, and the occasional outings kaya mukang attractive ang XL-7 ah.

It will be a bit cramped at the 3rd row of an XL7. But since you said you only plan to use it around the city, why not take a look at AUVs? The Everest, if you don't mind its design, seems practical, with the same 7-seater layout but with a way more efficient diesel engine. You can also opt to wait for the next Revo, which looks much like an old 4Runner. If I'm not mistaken, it's also built around its chassis, but for sure, there is a 4WD option.

Try to arrange for a test drive, you'll be surprised!

Thank you!
