I just need some info. I just had my vitara's exhaust and intake valves replaced including valve guides. apparently according to the mechanic, the loose valves were the cause of strange engine sound and like a "car burning in freeway" smoke from exhaust due to oil leaks which has penetrated down to the exhaust. have you ever dealt with your vitara billowing excessive smoke it looks like a car burning in the freeway? what did you do to fix it? Thanks.

Have your engine undergo cylinder compression test. There might be other problem in the engine such as loose compression, blowby, pumping oil, leaking cylinder head gasket. This must be done first before attempting to open the cylinder head.
