What air pressure do you use in your tires?

Just to make it simple, front tires.

The reason for this poll is this: assuming everything is working fine with your car, tire pressure & wind resistance are the two factors which can affect fuel consumption.

Tire pressure - the less rolling resistance, the better fuel consuption. So using higher pressures will decrease rolling resistance of your wheels.

Wind resistance - air drag on your car increases exponentially as speed increases, so keeping a max speed of around 90 kph is said to be optimum for best fuel milage.

Since we can't change the shape of our cars (much), I'll concentrate on tire pressure.

32 on all four (185/70R13 Bridgestone Turanza ER60)

Since the gas station is a bit far from the house I always fill up with 32 instead of 30 to compensate for the heat of the tires. Am I doing the right thing?

20 in front and 25 at the back.. is this ok? the car is a Lancer '96..
and the tires are the still the original..

I was just told that I should keep the pressure at those values..

    what is your tire size?

your tire pressure seems to be pretty low ... 20psi front & 25psi rear

Currently I am trying out higher than recommended pressures to find better fuel milage at cost of some riding comfort. Anyway, I am usually the only one riding. Right now my pressure is 35psi front & rear.

True!!! Used specs that recommend by manufacturer on your OEM. If you change your tire to a diff. brand, go with the tire manufacturer recommended inflation usually located on the sidewall of the tire.

I just had to fill up with air on all 4 tires. Temperatures here are getting cooler. Just a reminder to you all to check tire pressures when experiencing big temperature changes.

Generally when the temperature drops, so do tire pressures.

I use 35 psi for all 4 wheels. After 2 weeks, mga 30 to 32 na lang sila.

since I increased from 30 psi to 35 psi... I think I am getting better milage.
