pros: better stopping less lock yun rear.
cons: kung walang integrated drum brake yun rear, ang hina ng hand brake
pati kung habit mo yun maghandbrake pag iiwan yun kotse over night pwedeng magdikit yun brakes. For some reason sobrang dali ma stuck up ng disc brakes vs drum brakes. I guess mas madali rin naman ito ma unstuck vs na stuck up na drum brakes. Which takes a coupe of days.
Best to just put it in gear o Park. tapos relax ang hand brakes.

4 wheel discs have increased brake surface area which increases braking force. The exposed rotors also cool down faster than enclosed drums. Overheated brakes result to increased brake distances.
Discs are also simpler to service.
For a parking brake, i really dont know. The pajero has a small drum brake built in the rear discs solely for use as a parking brake. Nissan patrols use a drum brake on the propeller shaft as its parking brake.
