June 11th, 2012 06:23 PM #2yes. after changing springs, chances are your alignment, camber or caster may be out of spec. its well worth it since you will be preventing premature/unnecessaary wear and tear on your tires.

June 12th, 2012 02:17 PM #3thnks userfriendly, thought so. Then if that is the case should i be charged for it (alignment) separately by the same workshop that performed the shocks changeout?

^Depends on the rear suspension of your car. Some cars today have a fixed solid beam/axle set-up so alignment and camber is unnecessary for the rear tires. However,if your rear suspension is adjustable then it is required to have it aligned nonetheless.
