Anyone nakaexperience na sa inyo when turning the wheels - i mean full turning the car would make tak-tak-tak-tak sound.

    The scenario:

From full stop, full-turned the wheel to the left and begin accelerate then I hear the annoying sound above until mawawala lang if i straighten the wheels and go straight ahead. The faster i turn the noisier.

    Ano kaya problema?

CV joints iyan (aka velocity joints).

It's not a very expensive procedure. Aside from the CV, you will also need new boots and axle grease.

Here's just to give you guys an idea.

    2 brake disks reface and installation - 280 each (560) plus 300 labor - P 860.00
    2 tie rods repair - 150 each - P 300.00
    2 rack end repair - 150 each - P 300.00
    2 stabilizer link repair - 150 each - P 300.00
    4 upper/lower balljoint repair - 150 each - P 300.00
    4 shock abs. refill (front and rear) - 400 each - P 1600.00
    2 caliper overhaul (replaced 1 piston) - 150 each - P 300.00
    4 cv joints and axle overhaul & repack - 120 each - P 480.00
    4 f.w. bearings repack - P 400.00
    2 break shoes bonding and adjustment (1 each side) 180 plus 200 labor - P 380.00
    1 caliper piston - P 450.00 (not brand new)
    1 break fluid - P 60.00
    1 axle grease - P 300.00

    Total Expenses : P 5330.00

Heheh.. Anyway, pinapakiramdaman ko pa kung ok gawa nila since Saturday and since they gave me 3 mo. gaurantee.

    What do you guys think???

Grrrrr...

I think dapat pinapalitan mo na agad yung CV joint instead of having him do all those services (some of which might have been needed in the first place).

    But that's just me.

Hmmm.. you think so sir Otep? D rin kc ako ka-confident dun sa solusyon or should i say remedyo. Papakiramdaman ko na lang. Worst case pede mangyari would be masira ng tuluyan un joint and d na makaandar un sasakyan.

    Thanks for your opinion.
