currently i'm using 16" wheels with all wheather tires on my rig... im considering of replacing it... will 15' alloy wheels and 31x10 tires make a good choice... and which is better 15x8 or 15x10 and if ever i change to this sizes what im compromising with the performance and overall ride of my rig...just asking

    Cyrus,

Palagyan mo muna ng cladding, baka lumabas sa body pag masyadong malapad.

What's your current size? How tall is it in inches?

Will 15" wheels clear your brakes? Yes, you will need flares for 10.5" wide tires on a Trooper otherwise the wheels extend from the bodywork.

cyrusblutrooper anong year trooper mo? mine is the 2002 model.. nilagyan ko ng 18"inches rims chrome and 275/60 tires.. huwag mo lagyan msydo malaki tires kc mas aksaya sa fuel.. the bigger the tire the heavier it is for the engine to pull, meaning more ground contact ng rubber mo, mabigat para sa makina n cost more fuel... at least same over all diameter ng stock tire ng trooper...

mine is local 99 model... ok ba ung 18inch, the same ba yung fuel consumption mo... pinag iisipan ko nga kung mag 15 inch with 31x10.5x15 tires or 18 inch with 275/60/18 ako.... hindi ba bumpy ang ride pag malaki ung mag wheels.... type ko yung rota journey chrome 18 inch wheels...

'Bling' wheels are also heavier than stock much in the same way that off-road tires are also heavier. Whichever way you'll go (bling or offroad), you will surely gain some weight unless you use a very light wheel.

18" are not that big, the sidewall profile will still be taller than your average sedan. Just try to maintain the overall outer diameter (around 29"-31" depending on stock tires) to minimize any loss of performance.

--- yup pareho lang... for city lng yun trooper ko haya i put on 18"ninstead sa 20 kc papangit na ride nyan, maging bumpy na.. magand ang nga tingnan but kawawa susension mo... n yup tama sinabini otep heavy talaga mga mags aside from the stock.. pwede mgstick ka sa 16 but wider mags ilagay mo... 15 is yun look na matigas pan offroad tlaga.. 18+ is yun decent or pan japorms.. hehehehe... either way ur car would look gud...
