had two tyres like that sa old civic ko. nasa harap. litaw na yung steel belts sa pudpod so nilipat ko sa likod. 1 week later sa nlex both sumabog... one after the other!! with my sister driving pa and me following behind.
toss that tire na lang dude. nakakapanghinayang nga gawa ng medyo ok pa yung tread sa gitna, pero it is better safe than sorry.
definitely, that's not safe to use. tubeless ba yan o may interior?
if you happen to discover that during a trip, you could still drive to the nearest tire shop to have it replaced. wag mo ng i-sacrifice ang safety dahil sira na yan at kelangan na talagang mapalitan.
God bless you!
Better replace it with brand new. "Now na!" sabi nga sa commercial. Yung gagastusin mo sa new tires, it will be nothing compared sa possible expenses mo kung makadisgrasya ka.
you can buy surplus tires sa mga vulcanizing shop or even here sa tsikot sa classified section madami po nagbebenta nun dito.. imo its better to buy a brand new tires dyan nakasalalay buhay natin..
advise lang do not use tires that are more than 4 years old...
there's a square or oblong shape thing sa goma that will indicate the week and year it was made.
eg. 1405 --> this means that the tire was made 14th week of the year 2005.
