unlike the new, electronic ones, mercury sphygmoes do not require calibration. unless palpak ang gumagamit, their readings are always correct.
    OT.
OT: I prefer old school always. We have that baumanometer yung rectangle and the cuff is inside. I know how to use that since HS because I take the BP of my Dad. Advantage lang sa digital, it is so easy to take your BP alone. Kaya ko naman alone sa mercury pero ang hirap kasi i turn yung dial with one hand tapos hawak mo pa yung stethoscope hahaha. Even with thermometer na digital napahamak na ko kasi pataas ng pataas temp ko, sira pala! Good thing I used my mercury thermometer na nagiisa na lang kasi nabasag na lahat

Halos hindi ko makita yung lagi reading sa mercury thermometer. I'd hold it up to the light and twist it up & down, but hirap talaga ako tumingin

The rectal ones were thicker, but one of my (then) clueless siblings mistakenly used the wrong one under the tongue once It was clean of course but... yuk

Pa post naman ng link, so I can check it out.

I'm also considering one of those Xiaomi portable inflators that looks like a large powerbank. Certified accuracy (daw) up to +1- PSI error.

    230 - 250 kPa range ng Innova.

I've set mine in the middle; 240 kPa or 35 PSI (rounded-up from 34.8 PSI)

did someone say tire pressure gauge?

    20211221_204626.jpg

yes i know i went somewhat nuts on this.

oldest is stetho gauge. i might have had this since highschool about 1995? still works well may bangas lang yung transparent plastic cover from having been dropped a few times. holds reading even if you remove it from the valve already. made in tawan. suprisingly may serial number siya. now i use this for our bicycle.

long acre is my favorite to use. mainly because angled yung valve niya and fits my hand well. madali gamitin also holds reading. potentially most accurate kasi oil filled so medyo temperature and atmospheric pressure compesated daw siya. not that i noticed.

yung rays medyo honda rezing rezing. eye candy. advantage is it is huge madali basahin glow in the dark yung fezz niya. however does not hold reading.

in my use long acre and rays reads identical.
