Psylocke: Tama yung marking, but how come 1 lang hmm...

Gearspeed... Hmm wala nang ibang marking na may 00-01-02-03-04-05? kung yan 2001 pa yan.

In place na kaya itong coding kahit manufactured year 1999 and below? Just checked our spare tire in one of our rides (na siguradong mid 90s pa). Can't find rin the code on that tire. Kita naman doon sa tires na yr 2000 and up.

Three of my tires are marked '2304'. One is marked '2204'.

Haven't checked the spare yet. Medyo mahirap abutin eh. :D

Bogey, a week apart lang manufacturing... kung bnew naman oto nyo di magkakalayo ang date for sure, by batch kasi order ng planta sigurado.

Yup, brand new ko nakuha yung oto. No problem regarding the tires, anyway. Just interesting to know that we can actually gauge how old our rubbers are.

may pics ba kayo ng markings on goodyears?

I have Goodyear GT880s on mine, and the numbers are not surrounded by asterisks. Baka yun ang hinahanap mo, kaya medyo hindi mo makita. I found the digits on the tire's inner radius, the last four in a sequence of numbers.

Year of manufacture naman ng oto mo nasa flap ng seatbelt hehe.

It is stamped on the tire itself, along with all the other tire info sa sidewall...

Hanapin mo nalang ang 2 digit year number sa dulo... malamang yun na yun...

Thanks, guys. I had to return my cousin's van yesterday so I didn't have another chance to look at his Goodyears.

However, I found the date markings on the Dunlops on my van. Strange though, two of them were marked 1205 but the other one didn't have any date stamp in the place where it should be. Instead there were only the intials "S.R."

Anyway, I'll be sure to check out the date of manufacture when buying tires in the future. Again, great info.
