    Guys,

I had my exalta STA inspected by carguard in Alabang westgate due to vibration or scraping noise happening everytime i make a right turn. the owner suggested refacing the brake discs because it's already worn and uneven. Do you guyz recommend these?

Need you expert opinion...thanks in advance!

    regards,

oks lang! first time refacing is good...
tapos replace shoes and pads para hindi masayang ang refacing. magiging ganun din kasi ang kayod sa refaced surface kung hindi mo papalitan. mas madaling magwe-wear.

thanks guyz!...is this a simple job ...i mean most shops do this?...medyo concern lang kasi ako baka hindi maayos ang pag-reface e....gusto ko yung pulido ang gawa...first time ko kasi sa carguard alabang...anyway, how about casa? nagrereface din sila?

    yes.

BTW, i had my problem re-checked and it turned out that hindi disc brake ang problema....I'm hearing vibrations or ugong when turning right because of a damaged wheel bearing!....grabe..kumakalog yung gulong as in....buti na lang napaayos agad...haaay..i felt relieved...

I bought the wheel bearing for P3000+...japan made....i paid for the part and replacement job at Carguard Alabang..the mechanic is good. he knows what he's doing...labor is P350..

    vibration/scraping noise gone!

Thanks for all your posts peeps!...mabuhay kayong lahat!

    reface na po yan.

and on the rotor itself, usually near the center, nakalagay dun the minimum safe thickness ng rotor. as long as it still goes above or equal that thickness after refacing, it's still okay. but personally, i'd rather have it above the min. thickness than exact min. thickness just for peace of mind.
