December 14th, 2011 09:40 AM #4Most auto supplies should have IMO. I got several a few weeks back when i had my CV joint repacked (the clamps/ties were made of steel).
If you go to Banawe, try Toyorama near E. Rod.

December 14th, 2011 06:06 PM #6the nylon tie strap can be used for steering rack and pinion boot but not for birfield joints. the joints spin several thousand times in one trip and the nylon tie strap can slip off the joint unlike the r/p boot that moves slowly and seldom. for your birfield joints you can use either the "band-it" type or the oetiker type that are made of malleable stainless steel
