whoa! nagtaas na siguro yung powerplus. before, around 1.5k lang kuha ko.

aside from what mbeige said, you have to install new pads as well para sure ka na walang magiging problem.

on a sidenote, are there any shops who can properly bed-in new brake pads? can it be done while the car is on a hoist?

i read the instructions about the brake pads that i bought but there's no place here in manila where you can run properly bed-in the pads.

I've used replacements (power plus and generic) before and they all performed okay. Never warped unlike the OEM Toyota rotors they replaced (Hiace, Altis, Vios)

Nakapagtaka puro pag machine shop ng rotor recommendation ng mga talyer na nadaanan ko, tapos 1k to 1.5k ang charge. Pwede naman pala bumili ng bago.

because it's easy money for them, po!
they'll charge you 1.5 K for it, when it really costs only 700 bucks.

errr... how much does a new rotor cost, po?

Kung malaki & makapal pa and may grooves na yung rotor bro it makes sense to have it refaced. Mahal kasi, sa PPVs around 10K up ang oem. Sa maliliit it makes more sense to replace, halos same na kasi ng cost ng reface yung replacement.

Taiwan ba yung Power Plus then Korea yung HiQ sourced from China? Doon ako sa democratic China, parehong manipis at non-ventilated(solid) rotors yata but they will do just fine on regular use.
