squealing power steering

something weird happened to my car's power steering last night. suddenly it went squealing...parang napupunit na fan belt tapos pag-kabig left/right my krug,krug sound. but when i stop the car and check, buo naman fan belt at wala ako makita leak. then pag-andar ko uli nawala na yung ingay. even after a 1-1/2 hr drive kanina umaga from residence to work wala na yung ingay. ano kaya yun?

fluid at normal level, hose is visibly ok, no leaks. iniisip ko baka kaya barado somewhere along the line?

Dirty PS fluid? Try to DIY flush it.

nangyari ulit paguwi ko kagabi from work. mukhang pag nakasindi mga ilaw lumalabas yung problema. ok naman mga belts...pwede kayang alternator though hindi naman umiilaw warning light?

I suspect a bad CV joint or two.

got both cv joints replaced last month only sir. i think it's the PS belt. physically good pero baka worn out na actually. baka slippery na rin.i tried tightening eh nawala yun ingay. ill just have to replace it today then observe ko ulit. thanks sa inyong lahat...

mga sirs, more inputs please...the problem gets going on. nakapagtataka lang the squealing occurs after about an hour ride with the lights on. i thought it was an alternator problem so i opened the alternator but it was in good shape. the last resort im thinking is flushing the PS fluid...

update lang po. ok na yung power steering ko. all i did was to clean the PS pump then replaced the PS fluid. presto-smooth as ever ulit ang power steering...thanks a lot to you guys!
