    Gentlemen,

Have anyone here used ROTA wheels? Is it good and reliable? No "bengkong"?

I am planning to purchase this ROTA Wheel's Motorsports Series BATTLE 18 x 7.5 +45 4h/5h x 100/114.3 for my old ride but still reliable black Honda Accord EXI 1994.

Where can I buy reasonably priced tires too. Yung hindi "taga" ang price.

    I am in Makati area.

can we move this to the More Than Looks section? i think it is more appropriate topic for aesthetics.

anyways, Rota's have a pretty good quality. it is a popular choice in US.

I'm currently on Rota Battle's but on 15's only. Very good quality for it's price, can't complain. I got my Battle's 4 years ago at DKC tires at P. Tuazon near Ali Mall.

One of our aritst here in my workplace has a mid-90's Accord that are on Rota Battle's too, I don't know the size but it's definitely bigger than 15's, ganda ang malaking Battle's sa old Accords.

staggered means iba yung wheel width sa harap compared sa likod or vice versa.

it's primarily for better traction depending on your car's drivetrain, whether FWD or RWD.

OK naman ang Rota mags. In fact, most of the OEM mags are Rota. Tanong ko lang. I also drive a '94 Accord EXi pero 4h x 114.3 yung stock nun. Pinapalitan mo ba yung sa yo to 5h? Also, if you plan on getting 18's, mga 40-series na yung goma mo. Baba na nun. Used to have 205/40-17's on my previous car (a '92 Corolla GLi). Madaling magasgas.
Di masyadong nabago from stock.

Very good. Very reliable. Gotten expensive over the years, but is still cheaper than other non-local brands. in my experience, mas prone to bengkong ang mga imported brands kesa sa Rota.

In my opinion, any wheel, whatever brand, with that little rubber (you'll need 30 or 35 series tires to make it fit) is in danger on Philippine roads... unless you drive like my Aunt, who deserves the "Most Defensive Driver" Award. (one time, she dropped us off at an intersection... we wait five minutes for a jeep, got on, and we passed her just two minutes later... )

But ROTA's are fairly strong and dependable. The only time I managed to "bengkong" one was over a six-inch deep sharp-edged pothole at 120 km/h while carrying a 200 kg cargo in the trunk.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

IMO if you can find a center cap that has your car's logo on it, much better.

Me, I'm looking for one with the Mitsu 3-diamond logo in silver color.

Last time I was at DKC tires (that a couple of years back) there was one who bought a center cap for his wheels, dunno if DKC still sells them though.

Yesterday, I called one shop in Makati, just to check if they have this kind of wheels and in case, how much it costs.

They told me that its not available and they need to call Rota Bicutan to check the availability and its price too.

It seems that it will cost lesser if we buy directly from the manufacturer since they allow it.

This gentleman Mr.Tony of Rota Bicutan is giving me a discount if I am going to purchase directly from them.

    I am already thinking........ 17 or 18?

I might postpone it till next week, after Christmas. Dami gastos kasi.... And I just went today to Cruven at Camp Crame to have my car repaired.....

    Next week na nga lang.......

Bro, magkano yung Battle? Kasi, matagal ko nang gustong bilhin ito, ngayon lang nagka-budget? Pwede ba trade-in dun sa Bicutan? 15" lang sa akin, swap ko sana dun sa stock VTi-S Accord mags (slanted star design).

ROTA Wheels Are They Okay?
