    guys meron ba kayo alam rack and pinion specialist in parañaque / las piñas / alabang area?
    may leak kase ang steering ko.. honda civic 96 AT.. sabe sa pinagcheck ko need na daw palitan buong rack and pinion pero ang mahal.. baka kaya pa madala sa repair..

    basta wala sugat yung shaft pwede pa ma repair yan. punta ka Kay hongly near sm sucat para nakita kung kaya pa.

    yung tama sa shaft... machine shop lang po yan...

    Paps patulong naman, may tagas na power steering fluid ko. Pinasilip ko na s cruven, gebern, at customers cradle.

    As per cruven and gebern, sinilip nila, need na daw palitan rack and pinion assy kaso mahirap daw makahanap ng assy ng katulad sa oto ko(1988 toyota celica). Ang mahal din ng labor ng tanggal ng assy s geberm at cruven, 3k na kagad.

    As per customers cradle naman, ganun din sinabi nila need na daw palitan assy ko kasi di naman sila nagrerepair or palit ng paonti onti dun, isanf buong assy na. So nagpapahanap ako sa parts department nila ng assy na fit sa celica ko(dunno kung naghahanap talaga sila haha)

    Actually ilang weeks nako naghahanap ng steering rack assy na fit sa celica ko, sa net, nagtawag na din ako s evang, and so far wala talaga. Some suggested baklasim daw nila para makita msmo ung assy ko kaso mamaya e wala sila mahanap e sayang ibayad ko s labor ng pagbaklas

    Baka meron kayong alam na specialist talaga sa steering rack and pinion assembly dito sa las pinas pque alabang area. Ung kaya nila tignan at makahanap ng assy na fit sa oto ko.

    Best bet mo dyan is ipatanggal mo para may sample.

    Dadami options mo pag tanggal na kasi mas madali hanapan. Malay mo, the same part is installed in same year toyotas.

    Mas sayang bayad mo sa labor, oras at miscellaneous sa pagbabakasakali na tama ang parts na mabili mo only to find out mali pala.

    Best bet mo is patanggal mo and then dalin mo sa a. Bonifacio area. Marami nag rerepair ng hydraulic system dun from power tailgate lift, hydeaulic cylinders and upto simple as car jacks... May malalaking company/machine shops dun na kaya mag repair or even create new one from scratch.

    if you have it dis-assembled, you might just paint yourself into a corner.
    the vehicle would be un-movable, unless you re-assemble it using the bad parts that you want to replace because you can't get spares.

    fabricate a part? i'm not sure re. having a machine shop fabricate a precision part and have it work without leaking.

    what about the aficionado car clubs, po? they must have their sources of these uncommon parts.

    for a 1988 mejo crucial ung nasira sayo paps since luma na din ung auto mo, i think mggng course of action jan is pag wala mahanap dito oorder kna sa ibang bansa either US or asian countries.

    Mga sir, tanong ko lang po kung may nabibili ba na yoke para sa rack and pinion. Yung ganito

    Sweet Manufacturing 1-2117 : Sweet Rack Yoke & Spring

    kung wala man, pwede ba ko bumili n lang ng kahit anong cheap na rack and pinion or surplus tapos kunin ko n lng yan tapos ikabit sa kotse ko? or universal ba yung mga ganyan?

    Napa palitan ko na lahat ng pang-ilalim ko pero after 1 week bumalik ulit yung langitngit sa ilalim or harap pag nagpreno ako.
    pinacheck ko suspension and shocks wala naman problema. Sabi ng mekaniko, may tama na daw yung rack and pinion ng auto kaya may "langitngit" na tunog. Duda ako kasi wala naman tunog pag ginagalaw left and right steering.
    Tumutunog lang kapag
    1. nagpepreno
    2. aarangkada
    3. dadaan sa humps

    Sa tingin nyo po ba rack and pinion ba talaga ang problema?

    Note: Nagpalit ako coil spring na mejo lowered and isa sa mga tinitignan ko na lumala ngitngit.

    good pm mga gurus! im a newbie here. I need some help or inputs regarding my car. Problem is whI can turn the steering wheel but di po the tires wowont turn po and I can only hear tok sound. Rack and pinion na po ba ang problem? thanks and ggod bless!

    yes, it does sound like rack and pinion.
    cost? it would probably depend on the brand of car, the new-ness or surplusness of the replacement part.

    up ko lang.

    same car. 1997 honda civic ek. medyo matagal ko na prob ung sa rack and pinion, sumunod na din ung lines/hoses ng ps pump at medyo may pawis pawis na din sa pump. sa ngayon medyo mabilis na maubos parang 2 to 3 days lang low level na agad. kaya medyo mabigat bigat gastos nito if ever malaking trabaho.

    ano kaya mas ok gawin sa rack:
    1. repair kit plus hard chrome kung may tama na shaft (nasa 9k+ siguro)
    2. buy fresh surplus at salpak na lang (9k+ depende sa makukuhanan)
    3. buy bnew thai made (16k+)

    my vote goes to the brand new.
    differential diagnosis is surplus, but only if there is a warranty.

    Had my 2014 Altis repaired by Tireman PH in Gen. Trias, Cavite last Wednesday. Nawala na yun lagutok, clunking sound kapag nalulubak. 6.5K inabot. Sana tumagal.
