Power Steering na Pawis Steering

Mga Sirs, I have a problem with my power steering, lancer 95 car ko. Di ba pag power steering, even if the engine is turned-off, the steering wheel should be manageable, as in malambot dapat. But I noticed that once nag park nako, yung steering wheel ko is as hard as the usual pawis steering. What seems to be the problem? Thanks in advance!

you got he wrong info, when you turn off the engine your steering pump also stops, so no fluid is pumped to the steering rack thus making turning the wheel hard.

I also go a reply from galactus in the one of the threads where I posted the same inquiry. So it's normal pala talaga. I was just wondering because we used to have a box type lancer na power steering. Kapag naka off yung engine malambot naman yung steering wheel.

baka maluwag na belts, or baka very low na power steering fluid. also have them chech the tires baka malambot

hehehe!!! sir, pag turned off po talagang matigas ang steering wheels ng pawis steering. pag engine on na po saka pa lang lalambot.

pag standstill, medyo mabigat ang pwr steering, pero steerable kahit 1/2 hand, pero try moving, kahit pinkie lang kaya paikutin..

pag patay, at standstill, buno yan... take into consideration ang lapad ng gulong mo, total surfaced contact ng gulong sa road x 2!

baka kaya magaan ang box-type kahit patay makina baka maliit at makitid lang ang gulong

ps: indication ng maluwag na belt is pag sinagad mo iirit yun! may leak ba? or you see your rubbur-boots na parang may langis sa loob?

Always Yummy, Tama, umiirit nga kapag sinasagad yung steering. 14 din size nung sa box type same nung sa lancer namin ngayon. Saan makikita yung rubber boots? Thanks!

kung meron unsual sound like hizzing or ugong, better check for leaks anywhere in the power steering system. check mo din yung rubber boots sa steering rack kung may excessive oil. kung may leak and you have the money, pa repair mo agad. leaks can be from the pump, hoses or the gearbox (steering rack). lahat naman yan kaya irepair basta walang tama or upod yung metal parts.

Filled up your reservoir to max level (safe level) and bleed your power steering to remove air on your line.

filled up naman. pero weird talaga. kapag unloaded (jacked up) yung gulong
ang lambot at walang ugong. pero kapag binaba na at nagtouch na yung gulong sa ground, dun na umuugong hehehe anu kaya un?
