power steering problem

hi.... tanong ko lang sa mga may galant na 95 na supersaloon... kc yung galant ko nasira ang servo, tapos may nag sugest na paconvert ko na lang, and i did, well gumanda naman ang takbo at di na nag drop ang idling.... my problem is yung sa power steering kc pag habang nakatapak ako sa brake na naka shift sa drive, matigas ang steering, but pag na release ko na ang brake tapos tapak sa gas lumalambot yung steering.... ano kaya pwede gawin or pwede adapt para lumambot ang power steering? thanks..... :confused:

maybe your PS pump needs to be rebuilt. it's normal na tumigas yung PS when the engine revs drop (kinda obvious kung bakit..) but if it drops so much na parang wala nang power steering.. that's bad.

another option you can try is adjust your idling. pa-increase mo. kasi when the servo is replaced with that God-knows-who valve device, baka na-affect yung idling. see, when you press the brake, the ECU retards the engine timing and leans out the fuel mix, this is normal. so bumababa talaga yung engine RPM. the replacement of the servo with that thing, might have ended up making the idle too low *during braking*.

so kung ako, try to adjust the idling. there's just a screw somewhere on the throttle body, any decent mechanic (or even you..) can do it.
