April 12th, 2009 10:58 AM #1the oil seals were replaced years ago and fortunately not leaking oil as of now.
however, the system is leaking fluid at the the part where the gearbox and the valve body is joined (as shown in the pic).
do you have any quick fix ideas in mind?
I am thinking of tightening the bolts.
Tearing down the whole assembly seems laborious and expensive.

April 12th, 2009 01:55 PM #2could be the steering shaft oil seal is damaged. tightening the bolts as you suggets will not solve the leak. try to check the hose clamps and tubings
are properly tightened and are not the ones leaking.
for the steering shaft oil seal, the complete rack and pinion assembly has to be brought down for servicing.
