Had to change the tire pressure valve (yun bagang "pito") yesterday.
I was given a choice of the rubber-type -- stock on most vehicles, the one which is simply plugged into the hole of the wheel, and the more expensive (about three times more) screw-type.
Both would look almost the same when installed as the rubber-type valves now have a chrome sleeve on them so it would still match chrome alloy wheels.
I ended up having the screw-type valve installed as the shop-owner explained that it would last much longer than the rubber-type valves, and that subsequent air leakage from the valves could be corrected by simply tightening the valve housing onto the wheel.
