Hi there experts, I just need your advice regarding my Honda ESi underchassis problem. The following items are needed for repair/replaced:

    Tie rod
    Rack End
    Shock absorber (front & rear)
Ball joints (???...will have to confirm if it's really damaged)
Bushings (Front & Rear) such as:
Suspension arm, Stabilizer, arm link, trailing arm etc.

So you see, most of the bushings underneath are needed to repair/replaced. I have inquired to my suking mechanics but they prefer to replace it rather than restoring those parts. Kinda tight ako sa budget kaya I'm thinking if it's right to have my ride serviced at Cruven, Kawit which is near to my place since I'm from Imus. Although I'm considering to buy replacement parts like 555 brand for Rack-end and Tie rod, JAC for trailing arm bushings. I have suking auto supply to get it at most affordable price (1,050 for a pair of tie-rod,650 each for rack-end, 420pesos for trailing arm bushings and some 180pesos each for suspension bushings and 40pesos for small bushings, KYB shocks at 1,900 per piece (gas type).

I have read your feedbacks for Cruven...positive or negative as it may sound kaya medyo naguguluhan ako pero gusto ko din sanang i-try but I can't afford to suffer my ride as well as my pocket, baka kasi ma-disappoint lang din ako in the future but of course, I'm running out of budget kaya gusto ko ay yung may quality yet affordable na tipong hindi taga sa presyo pero masasatisfy naman ako sa trabaho nila. Naghahanap din ako ng alternative option. May pagka-maarte kasi ang mechanic ko, pag nakita nyang may damage he wants to change it right away pero tama nga naman sya kaya lang syempre under-budgetted na din ako hehehhe...saka isa pa, he prefers to supply most of the parts...hindi naman ako makatanggi since sya lang talaga ang matinong mechanic na nakita ko dito sa area nmin. Syang din naman kasi ang mark-up prices ng mechanic ko, I could buy some parts pa kung ako mismo bibili ng pyesa ko.

Guys, I need your expert advice please! nang di ako maguluhan. Gusto ko kasing maging comfy ang ride ko since medyo matagtag at maingay sya pag me lubak sa kalsada. BTW, my ride is well-taken cared of nung hawak ko na, pinbayaan lang siguro nung last owner kaya gusto kong ipaayos lahat ng pang-ilalim saka personal use ko lang ito kaya di sya gastado, maybe 50kms per week lang gamit ko. Bihira ko lang mailuwas sa Manila. Kumbaga service car ko lang talaga.

Pasensya na po sa mahabang post...I just hope you could help me out guyz....Many thanks in advance. All your inputs are highly appreciated.

I almost forgot the Labor cost...

Suking-Maarteng Mechanic #1---Might charge me at least 3-5k (guess ko lang pero di nagkakalayo sa kutob ko hehehhe!)

Suking Mechanic# 2 ---- 2.5k for over-all underchassis jobs incl. replacement of shocks.

Suking Mechanic #3 --- 2.2k for over-all underchassis jobs, di pa ata kasama yung shocks replacement fee

Suggest you personally canvass the replacement parts needed. Nice to use 555 underchassis parts, KYB shock absorbers. Then negotiate with your favorite mechanic the best price for his labor. Make sure he has the complete tools needed most especially coil spring compressor, ball joint/ tie rod separator. Otherwise, he might use the usual pukpok method in installing new parts.

maarte mechanic mo kasi kelangan nya ng pera, so everytime he sees you, he can hear the ka-ching ka-ching of a cash register, hehe just kidding.

pagdating sa underchassis (or most major car repairs), you generally get what you pay for. spend on fake parts bukas makalawa wasak na din agad yan.

choose original 555 parts and you can bet you by golly wow na tatagal yan ng 1 year or more. more if you travel on smoothly paved roads most of the time.

choose cruven and you can be sure na yung reconditioned joints na ilalagay nila ay super kunat at tatagal ng 1 year at least. dati sa crame branch nila i chose to recondition all joints sa front plus two shocks. up until i sold the car early this year antigas pa din nung joints, so medyo tumigas yung ride nung vehicle. yung shocks din, antigas.

if i were you, i'd go the cruven route. mas mura na, and when the time comes for you to sell the car makikita nung buyer na all original pa yung pang ilalim (yes may mga maarteng buyer na ipapa angat pa sa gas station para silipin mga yan). downside is medyo magiging stiff ang ride, sometimes for months until the polymer they put into the joints soften up somewhat.

Thanks mga sirs sa inputs nyo. I might choose CRUvEN for reconditioning of joints/shocks/rack-end/tie-rod/bushings, in that way makakatipid ako since kaka-overhaul lang ng engine ko.

Please help me decide! Thanks!!!
